Having just about finished my degree, and a passion in E-Sports, Im thinking about stepping into the scene over the summer.
I'm just wondering if there is any interest out there for a Melbourne based tournament? Unsure weather I would run it as Hots or Wol, but I have access a small venue (a university games lab), and the means to acquire sponsors for prize pool.
What I would love to do is stream the event and crowd source any local shoutcasters for the day.
What do you guys think?
Also one quick question, is there any sort of australian collegiate Sc2 league? And if not, how much interest would there be in that?
Your best bet would be to hold it at MC Internet (Unless you can get it a lot cheaper at your games lab). There has been LANs there before and they charge a reasonable rate, and obviously you only need a mouse/keyboard (Even then you don't necessarily need to bring your own peripherals).
IMO someone needs to organise a regular Melbourne tournament, like once every month at MC Internet Cafe, would be a good idea. The more often everyone in Melb can meet up and play the better
Also I'm in, someones gotta represent the noobs out here xD
