Everyone at some point has talked about their mouse sensitivity, DPI etc, but keyboard settings seem to go overlooked, there's a simple setting that can help alot with zerg and terran macro.
On windows7 and XP, just open the control panel and search for 'keyboard',
open that and change the 'repeat delay' to the shortest possible.
Now, when you queue up marines on multiple barracks or want to use 17 larvae, the delay between each keystroke being recognised when you hold down A or R is now reduced.
This is an oldy
Also works for things like fungal, forcefield, storm, etc.
If you hold down the keys (f, f and t respectively) and then click on the ground, due to the high repeat rate it will reselect the spell so that you can cast another. Mostly used for quick forcefielding. Keep in mind that there is a slightly longer first delay so you have to wait a fraction of a second before you spam forcefields or you'll end up just clicking on units and subsequently losing.
Might not help with macro speed, but if you haven't already, turn of mouse acceleration as well. It might feel a bit off at first, but i found it helps you become MUCH more accurate when you get used to it.

as much as i try i cant use the same hot keys as most people is it just me ? i got to diamond this way but i still dont know if i should try and change it or keep it as is. when i try and change to the more common hot keys for Zerg i get hella confused. i use at the moment 1,2 as hatcheries and 3 as army and 4 as army then 5 as queens works best for me atm.
