I like the widow for nothing else but drop defence. Also randomly latching onto banshees and oracles and mutas and giving opponents the shits. And if I can snag observers with it I'll be giggling like a school girl in no time.

I like the idea of giggling like a school girl... xD But I do think friendly fire should really be in the equation, just because if you get latched on one, you could run your units into theirs, which would add another element of being careful with it, rather than just putting them down and not have to worry about it past then.
