Prize Break Down:
1st 60% of division
2nd 20% of division
3rd 10% of division

10 % of the total entry fee will go towards me, the organizer. I also reserve the right to compete (after paying the associated fees).
No history of a higer league for Div 2 and 3 for the past 2 seasons and this season.
Each divison needs a minimum of 6 players otherwise a 100% refund will be awarded. Entry requires received payment of the entry fee (i do no recommend transferring on Friday. If you transfer late
I will accept emailed proof that you have paid your entry fee. If your enter this way you will not receive your prize until your entry fee payment clears. Failure to pay will result in instant disqualification and prizes are awarded to the next best players.

Format:
QUALIFYING
Players play in Bo1's in their group.
Each player plays 4 other players.
Map is decided by joint decision by both players. If a map cannot be agreed upon then I will decide between one map put forward by the two players randomly.
Lower ranked player picks map or a map is randomly chosen.
Each player is entitled to 3 minutes of pause and can request with a 'pp' and must be confirmed by the other player. The other player may not deny the player this pause.
This must not be used to delay a loss (a review can be lodged with me).
Top 4 in each division will go on to the Semifinals.
If more than 4 players are tied (w/l ratio, #games for v # games against) then a single rematch must be played (tournament style if multiple players).

Any disputes must be made within 30 minutes of a series ending. To me personally (Baeked #922)

Minimum 5 minutes between games unless both players agree to go.

To have Both players name + result in title
e.g #1 (w) v #2

Must contain:

Players names, winner, #replays, complaint if any
Name: #1 Name: #2
Winner: #1
Replays: 3
Complaints: None
Score line of series (e.g #1 2 - 0 #2 or #1 1 - 2 #2)
Attached replays

Time is NZT or GMT +12
Tournament will be played on sea server. Channel will be SC2NZTournament

Hm... I know the tournament organisations in NZ. I have certainly not come across you before.

Give us some background on what you are aiming to achieve, whats the purpose of this tournament, what previous experience have you had in organising/running tournaments.

I do agree with Bryrnsy here. If you don't have anyone to vouch for you, I doubt people will be paying registration fees to someone with only 1 post.

EDIT: And I would really suggest that you rename the tournament to something aside from "SEA Tournament".

Side note he does have 6 posts on TL including one the same as here. Pay to play tournaments just dont really go that well mostly because many people who enter a normal tournament do not expect to win.
A few questions.
With no support (or mentioned support) how are you going to stop smurfs?
Given how many free tournaments on the SEA server. 10% going to yourself for "organization" which if you are playing in the comp simply put can not be as good as other hosted tournaments?

I hope we have not offended you but you can see from the few questions I have asked there is a lot of doubt about a pay to play tournament. Before we even look into the fact that you have made a single post to this community and 5 other posts to the TL one.

May I suggest that next time you do some research.
There are a lot of people on this site already organising tournaments for free and they've been doing it, unpaid, for a long, long time.
Seems a bit rich to come on here asking for money when you have no background in the community and no obvious experience and also are not offering anything better than the free tournaments already around.

I'm trying to see how I can not be offended at this attempt to rip off the community.

From my calculations you will make a minimum of $16, why do you deserve this when, if im not mistaken, no other organiser of sea tournaments makes a profit?

I would advice people not to participate in this tournament until there are further information from the organizers.

I recommend the organizer to PM me with further information proving the legimacy of this tournament.
