Hey guys, another new guy here. Just saw the thread and decided to post this up here. I'm relatively new to the game but I'm already drooling over protoss. I'm still in bronze league but I'm slowly working my way to the top. I have a good grasp of a few main strategies for all races regardless of the fact that I have dedicated myself to protoss, and I have a good idea of how these builds are also countered.
Basically I started to look for people I could play this game with, because in my opinion that's what is so great about multiplayer gaming. I found this website, looks great, lots of members, and so I decided to sign up.
At the moment I live in Queensland, Australia. I'm currently finishing the last year of high school so I'm not able to throw myself into this game just yet. I do play a variety of games, LoL and SW:ToR also.
I look forward to being a part of this community, and to further my knowledge whilst enjoying every second of SC2.
PS: I don't mind being called either Zypher or TotallyImba, both names are fine.
EDIT: I did want to give shout casting a go in the future, hence the second name.
hey im PsiMonger my game name is AvianMarquis i enjoy playing sc2 heaps but would like to try some casting or commentary for sc2 games. I have a really bad problem with choosing game names because i always change them every 5 mins haha.
Hi everyone!
I played brood war a ton when i was younger, so i was really keen on getting sc2.
I thought i was good in BW, but then i played sc2 and was in bronze for 4 seasons lol!
If anyone wants to do some practice games hit me up in chat. I'm Neblime 805.
Don't worry if you're lower league than me i like teaching people!

I realy enjoy the game Starcraft 2 and i found this website when i was about to buy a korean account for the game, Realy enjoy the site and i think i will stick here for a while.
I met some of you at the ACLPRO in Melbourne today, just wanted to say hi!
I'm the editor for Novede.com, we're a gaming website based out of Melbourne. We primarily focus on producing video in the form of shows and podcasts.
We're just getting into covering eSports in Australia, and Aussie players around the world where possible, and by eSport we mean Starcraft 2 - at least for the moment.
I do play SC2, but not spectacularly, best I've placed on Ladder in top 25 Gold.
So yeah, HEY!
Looking forward to meeting even more of you guys in person.
been hearing about this community for a while now, finally got around to signing up.
heyoo, i'm kim SunRise.355 (i've only realised recently that there were another two SunRise's on sc2) so yeh, im the noob bronze one =].
got into this game because friends were playing.
they've since moved on and it gets lonely when i play, so a community like this would make my sc2 time much enjoyable i hope =D.

Welcome to SC2SEA - great place to be imo..
thank you for the welcome.
and yeh, it shocks me to find out there are more "SunRise's" around, not that i claim ownership or anything special... i just hope people don't mistake me for her or SunRise#1, and therefore lowering their image... me being bronze and all.
anyways thanks for the welcome, hope to have this site be my home page ;D
Hello, my name is too complicated to pronounce but people call me Jin for short. I'm a with heritage, unfortunately not with any starcraft skills during my 2 years in Korea. I started casting some SCII games a while ago, starting with the GGA cup that happened a couple of months ago. I don't consider myself that great in commentating but thats what I'd like to improve on. I'd like to get to know and learn from casters, especially other NZ and Australian casters. I've got in contact with Flamga and he led me to this website, so yeah. I hope I can get to know you guys.
Other than sc2 I spend my time on MMORPG SWTOR and I'm in a guild so I can't spend all my time on this forum.
I discovered Starcraft extremely late though, in 2005 and haven't got to play multiplayer until I've discovered SCII announced in 2010. I've participated in the beta and played competitively until season 2. I've enjoyed playing as Protoss and ended up being a gold/platinum player, highest I've been is diamond but didn't last long there. Then my computer broke down and I couldn't get to buy a suitable computer until the end of last year. Now my old strategies don't work due to unit changes and better strategies and degraded myself to bronze/silver, lol. Now is season 7/8 and I play to diversify myself but I'm terrible in Terran as I lose the macro game and couldn't risk myself to early harassment.
I'll get over the boring details first. My name is Ian but ID is Metro. Currently only play team games (platinum 2v2, 4v4 - gold 3v3) but have lately had a desire to stay playing 1v1 to try and develope my SC2 skills. I play random but moving into 1v1 I guess i'll have to pick one race. Terran being I suppose my strongest race but I do love zerg. So if anyone is willing to practise i'm always open/available pending work
I was prompted to register for 2 reasons. After being a long time TL follower I stumbled acrose sc2sea a while back and have more recently started to read the forum, folllow the events and most recently watch streams - ACL Melbourne & xGTL.
What sparked my action to register was today reading the thread by Pig regarding this thoughts on FXOboss comments about the SEA scene and the debate that followed. One first time poster (Venture) gave an excellent summary of his experiences and i have to say mirror my own. After seeing there was a "PRACBUD" channel and my recent desire to start playing 1v1 i joined the room, introduced myself, asked if there was any willing takers for a practise partner only to be greeted with... politely put 'taints' for my choice of playing random, my league rank etc by some GM and what i've seen active sc2sea members.
I've enjoyed online games from my first RTS experiences with Age of Empires 2 to competitive CS at Brisbane LAN events. I loved the experience so much I even started working at my local LAN on weekends while at uni, help run events and just generally experience the great social side of the gaming community - something I wish I could say i've experience with SC2.
The second thing that prompted me to join was reading tonight a vroomvroomvroom topic on running/hosting a SC2 event which I thought was an amazing effort on his behalf and potential risk as his business that has no association or connection to esports. This prompted me to want to do something similar (and I i plan to PM him on his experiences after this) and not sit back when my position within a multinational franchise brand would allow me to perhaps not hold LAN events but with locations nationally offer perfect Barcraft venues.
I loved that involvement and community back from my CS days and my love of SC2 wants to experience it again. I might not be able to offer additional prize money, sponsorship or technical support but I want to do what I can to see the community & awariness of SC2 grow and with my business expertise and connections as an individual I want to do my part to see this.
lol, sorry for the essay/wall of text but I thought if I was going to add my opinion i'd cover it all off in one go
Im IceBurg, a Zerg player on NA and SEA, based in Sydney. I am heavily into the eSports scene and I really want to connect with the Sydney SC2 scene and start going to live events in Australia.
I have only been to one live eSports event - MLG Anaheim this year. It was amazing! The atmosphere was electric the whole time and I got to meet so many amazing people! My ultimate goal is to make it to masters - maybe even GM and compete in one of these events. Im always up for practice, so if anyone want to have a few games feel free to add me up. IceBurgSMD.173 on NA and IceBurg.758 on SEA
