Waddup guys, I'll be making a proper introductory post about this later, but just quick question, when you cast VODs, do you use xsplit? or fraps or something? I can't figure out a way of getting an overlay up over the replay bar without using xsplit, and then uploading straight from twitch.

Any suggestions would be appreciated

I use fraps for the record, then basic editing using VirtualDub

Righto, i'll give that a crack. I was planning on using fraps, but I couldn't figure out a way of getting anything as an overlay in Windows Movie Maker, which is the extent of my editing software.

Use VirtualDub, its a free program, and very lightweight.

You can experiment with xsplit with local recording - gives you more flexibility than vdub as vdub is extremely basic.

As being a clan leader we do casts and streaming. We use XSplit as it free for right now to do streaming. We use FRAPS to record our Brood War and Starcraft II Vods. For editing I use PowerDirector9 they have V.10 out however it will cost you around 90$ USD

Just to note you will need a powerful computer to stream at a decent frame rate. Also if you want to record in 1080p with Ultra Settings with fraps you will need a pretty decent gaming rig with a lot of processing power.
