As celebration for our 1 year birthday, we shall host a fun series of events / prizes. The first of which will be a Race War Tournament featuring the best of SEA.
Date: 5PM SGT, 7pm AEST - 4th September, Sunday. Format: GTSL All kill, Round Robin
Match 1 & 2: PvZ, RvT
Match 3 & 4: PvR, ZvT
Match 5 & 6: PvT, RvZ
The whole event will conclude in around 3 hours, which is less than how long our COs usually run.
Teams: 4 - Zerg, Terran, Protoss, Random Players per team: 8 total with a maximum of 4 players being used per match. Prize: This is a fun community event but the winning team will win the "2011 Race Champion Team" achievement for all its members. This tournament will also be covered by Blizzard SEA.
Captains:
Captains will decide the line up and order of play for their players on the actual day. This is vital as although each team has 8 members, only 4 will play for each matchup so they need to know the best matchups of their team. They can also give their team a cool name.
For casting, there will be a special twist. Casters will follow their chosen race's journey throughout their games. At any point, a member of the casters team's race can be called up by the caster to cast with them. Captains can co-cast with their caster too and explain to the viewers their team choice and provide strategic analysis during the cast. So for e.g benji is the terran caster and he can call up iaguz, Rossi etc to cast with him. There will be four different streams.

Random players are not allowed to race pick and have to go random every game. Targa plays Terran on ladder too and PiG offaces in customs alot. It was actually their decision to want to play random in this tourney! If iceiceice confirms he will be added to the random team as well for similar reasons.
More players are coming, there's gonna be 8 per team.
C'mon people get amongst it; SEA's 1 year event will be top class! SEA's greatest are gonna be duking it out (which is always fun) not to mention one confirmed caster is JacziE! Seriously. What's there to complain about? Even more casters are on the way too.
I'm pumped everyone else should be too, keep an eye on this thread for sure
That will be 11am on sunday for me, perfect ! I will follow it for sure ! At last a tournament that will definitely show that s are stronger, taller and more importantly, sexier. Or that are OP or easy or cheesers. Proof :
yea pokerface I was arguing against dels point since he was talking about "actual randoms" but he named you and you recently switched which was contradicting what he said. Instead, I feel anyone who can play their offraces at a high level can be classified under random too, they did not need to have played random since the very start of starcraft 2.
btw I planned to send out invites to mskiyax, strafe and you. not sure who will take the #8 spot maybe jabito but not sure how good his protoss is. any suggestions?
Alot of bruised ego here. If Nirv thinks your good enough, hes gonna invite you. Its okay to nominate someone/yourself, but to bash the line up is down right retarded since he is obviously trying his best to get the best lineup.
So give the guy a break, hes hosting this for the community and there isnt even any prize to play for
