Increasing awareness and funding for e-sports in SG/SEA
hey was wondering if anybody considered approaching STB or MICA to support SEA e-sports? or at least SG e-sports? i mean kelly is a GSL commentator in code A, and it's considered the most prestigious e-sports tournament so maybe the time is right? i'm trying to pitch a story to ST on Kelly not sure if they will bite though. Any thoughts?
They are governmental bodies - the ministry of information, communication and the arts (MICA) and Singapore Tourism Board (STB). They are trying to rebrand SG to be cool and hip and e-sports could be one way of doing that. ST is the Straits Times, the SG national newspaper.
