I only skipped through it because of GSL ^_^. but from what I heard it seems like you'll definitely improve in time.

A few things that I noticed, someone who actually casts can probably give you better direction but :

You say uhm and uh a lot and generally seem unsure/not confident in what you're saying which should improve in time.

You should put on the in-game music or leave some starcraftish music softly in the background because you're solo casting and it'll help make dead air seem less awkward
And this third one isn't really a peeve of mine but from what I've heard people don't like casters/observers boxing units/buildings 24/7.

I suggest for observing practice look at the GSL observer, Legend is incredibly smooth with his transitions + ability to show people what is happening.
As for casting I'm sure that'll come in time as you get more confident in your casting you'll be able to be more theatrical like day9/tastosis/apollo/husky all are.

Nice job man, the main thing I'd say is work on your camera movement. Look at some pro casters for some tips, but the smoother the camera movement the better

Hey dude! Got your message and thought I'd reply here

Your game knowledge is great, nothing for me to tell you to improve on there. I watched your whole cast between Happy and Tarra and definitely have some feedback regarding some other things go. Disclaimer; this is all to be taken as constructive, it's said with the genuine intention to help improve your solo casts!

1. Your camera work, try to use the middle mouse button when you want to drag the camera around. Using the side of the screen to move the camera is very jerky and doesn't look good imo.
2. Your mic quality is a little low, and there's some feedback or buzzing in the background, sounds like the levels might not be balanced or the cable might not be grounded properly or something.
3. This was the biggest one for me; you're monotonous. To fix this is easier said than done, but during battles and drops you have the same tone, pacing and excitement level as when you're analysing. Just be aware of this, and draw on your genuine love of the game to bring that intensity for people, they'll really thank you for it!

Again, this is all meant as constructive. I hope to see you cast more in the future and continue to improve!

hey, just letting you know I've subbed to your channel, haven't got time this morning to watch anything (currently stuffing my face with cereal before heading to work) but i'll check some tonight

I've started up a Youtube channel pretty much with my own replays with some notes and ideas I've come up with on my own play. Haven't got to the stage of actually voicing the videos yet, but all the tips listed above will definitely be used in my channel too!! Seconding on what Maynarde is saying, don't be afraid to sound a little bit nuts.

When you're communicating using only your voice, exaggeration is key. Utiliising tone, as well as a deeper 'chest voice' (rather than your normal speaking voice) is vital to conveying the same sense of excitement you would in a normal conversation.

To get the best effect, imagine you're speaking to an audience of thousands, YOU are in control as the caster and a strong, varied tone helps express this.

tl;dr Don't fret about being loud/crazy, it translates well over the soundwaves!

Ive only got to watch 2 casts so far and for a newbie caster you are not bad.

The biggest thing to stand out for me is that you need a new mic, your current one is shyt.

Regardless, i still subbed and im sure ill enjoy your content.
