Because i don't read that rubbish site called TL, i don't know if they have one with rules. So I will make the rules. Maynarde is allowed to edit, add and delete rules because he's the most Metal.

1. No Old Metal vs Nu Metal "arguments". We are all aware of the differences between them, and we don't need a bunch of useless posts going in a circle about them.

2. All Metal is welcome. Even that terrible Symphonic Power Metal.

3. All posts must contain at least one devil fingers.

4. Mentioning other genres is alright, as long as your entire post isn't about that genre.

5. Inferior genre music video's can not be posted. (Inferior genres are all genres that aren't Metal)

Now, most of you hate me, so you'll probably break every rule. Let the trolling begin.

We used to play this song back in the day and make fun of the silly drum intro then spam the single pedal cause our drum didnt have a double pedal lol. I used to like metal (im sure any budding guitarist at one point will) but right after that i started to like emo so I would play some ataris emo stuff next and my band mates would get mad.

mr crowley has one of my favourite guitar solos of all time, by my favourite guitarist randy rhoads. i was never skilled enough to play the solos, tried to learn it but gave up in vain and went back to emo lol!

..But you know guys Metallica sold out after justice.. my opinion justice wasbest album.. but Dave Mustaine should still be in the band because Megadeth is way better than anything metallica has ever done.. also nu metal suks.. RUST IN PEACE ..

Cliff Burton was primarily driving the classically rooted thrash metal they were putting out prior to that point, as he had the most musical training. When he died before justice was finished, you ended up with no bass presence at all with Jason basically being mixed out of every final product (nor getting any input in the first place), leaving Lars as the entire rhythm section all on his own, and James having the biggest influence on the musical style - this shifted them to being rooted more in blues which is what he grew up with. It just so happens that the blues-rooted rock style is/was more radio-friendly. It's not a question of selling out, it's about their being forced to change stylistically thanks to a bus accident that took the heart and soul of the 'true' Metallica.

Also, no way MegaDave wrote all Metallica's best songs. He wrote a couple (and that includes Mechanix, which is inferior to Four Horsemen, but of course all the riffs are his), but the reason he and Megadeth are so good is because he got kicked out of Metallica. He was an angry drug addict when he was with metallica and was most of the time sweating heroin. Getting kicked out of Metallica was the best thing that happened to him because it gave him something to prove and a reason to succeed.
