Only mGG members are allowed to partake in this poll regarding us fielding a team/s for the SEACL.
Due to the possibility of another SEACL taking place discussions have risen within mGG leadership on whether it is best to field a team to represent our clan or not.
As we are a community first and foremost it is up to our membership base to vote on what you would like to happen regarding the SEACL.
For information please read this thread on what the SEACL is: http://www.sc2sea.com/blogs/showentry.php?e=471
This is NOT a private vote, what you voted for will be known. This is to make sure only mGG members votes are counted. You are only allowed 1 vote. Voting will close in 1 week on the 12th June 2012.
DO NOT VOTE IN THE POLL IF YOU ARE NOT A MEMBER OF MGG!!!!
If enough players of any level wish to represent the clan in SEACL, they should not be prevented from doing so.
I love the vision of a community clan, and certainly there should be no pressure on any members to compete in any event, but to prevent those who wish to from doing so will harm the clan in the long run, and members will find other clans to represent who will allow them to compete.
That is why were taking a vote asrathiel. to see what the community wants. No one will be forced to compete or not compete. The results will merely determine mGG's policy of wether we field a team or not. As always people are entitled to dual membership. So there is no pressure either way.
I don't see why you wouldn't. At the lower levels, sure it's competitive, but it's mostly just some fun that encourages people to ladder and in doing so improve. The amount of people that got promoted in just the BSG Tier of the SEACL throughout the season was huge.
Sure you can take it super duper seriously if you want to, but in the end all that's on the line for us BSGPD players is a bit of clan pride.
I would like to remind the general community to please not vote in the poll (feel free to post your opinions). Already we have TAminimat, DGwolf and sRDante voting...
I see no reason not to. Anyone who doesn't want a competitive experience has no obligation to compete, but I'm sure many of us like myself will want to.
I voted. PD was my tier and it was really competitive and had masters players last SEACL. As the person running it I'd rather have only teams serious about competing unless you could ensure players wouldn't get frustrated and stop turning up. A team who enters and loses each time but comes back each week is fine, but one that drops out at any point is not worth even having them enter and they'd be banned for subsequent seasons.

To complete Del's sexy comment, i will be glad mGG plays in next SEACL, but next season won't have as many teams as last season. We want to reduce the number of teams, and so the walkovers/reschedules/withdraw. So i can't promise there will be slots for too many teams.

Any information yet on numbers and how they will be allocated?

Full details are not published yet as i am still thinking about it, but here is roughly what i plan:
We plan to have 8 teams per tier = 40 teams for the clan league. Tiers will be as follows (tentatively):
Tier 1: no restrictions
Tier 2: no restrictions
Tier 3: no GM
Tier 4: PD(+1M per match) only
Tier 5: BSG only
There were few clan dismantled, and we removed teams, so we rougjly have 8 teams per division now. However, some clans won't register again, or some teams won't play next season so i believe there is a few extra spot.
I just wanted to say that if you register 2 teams i can't promise there wil be slots for 2 teams.
