So, while watching the Stephano vs Squirtle Red Bull game, I noticed Stephano's Corruptors were useless once he killed the colossus. And i was thinking, would the Corruptors corrupt ability allow them to take a bit more damage, or does the Immortals hardened shield nullify the spell?

from liquipedia: Hardened Shield is affected by Corruption so the Immortal may take up to 12 damage.

Oh nice. So corruptors can still have a slight use after the colossus are gone and there's a few immortals sitting around.

as erasmus said, an immortal takes 12 shield damage max when corrupted

The corruptors are still nearly useless. Using a 3 supply 150/100 unit to make a SINGLE enemy unit take +2/hit isn't quite worth it :P

Well I think he is suggesting that they were used to take out the Collosi. Once he had delt with them they idle'd.. suggesting that someone with epic sick good micro would then use to corruptors to cast corruption on key target units... Good idea imo.. but yeah, micro intensive.

Stephano's corruptors were "useless" until he made the 21 broodlords you mean.

Well, they were just flying around doing nothing in the 5-10 seconds after killing the colossus and the battle ending.

Cool idea, would certainly be a little useful to spam corruption if you have the presence of mind in-game to do it. Now that I think about it though, I can't remember the last time I had to use corruptors against colossus :P

EDIT: Worth getting a couple more infestors, sacrificing morphing 2 or so brood lords to corrupt important units?

I'd sooner use my APM during a battle on macro. Making sure you are injected / making units and rallying effectively etc etc.

By that point in the game, I really doubt it will make a difference in the outcome of the battle & overall result regardless.
