Greetings all! mGG has always prided itself as being a grass roots clan, aimed at improving the enjoyment and skill levels of all players, regardless of ability. However, as of late, our roots have grown a little thin and our ranks of bronze and silver are not as numerous as they once were; due to promotions in particular. To that end, mGG would like to send out an invitation to all

players to join us in the channel 'mGG" (without quotes) in game. Come in at any time and start a discussion about anything you want, ask for some games and learn some things along the way.

We will also be holding an open practice in this channel specifically designed to help players in the BSG leagues improve on the weekend of the 2nd of June. More details to come.

Update: mGG will be holding an open practice (as in anyone can participate) for

players. Depending on numbers we may also have a session for

at the same time. This practice will be held on Saturday the 2nd of June at 3 pm SG, 5 pm AEST or 7 pm NZ time. This will likely take the form of a quick warm up session using a drill to improve macro, followed by some fun in PeepMode. This is where a king of the hill is played (winner stays on) where all players are able to observe each match.

I think most of our starting players were from b.net (at least I was). SEA b.net is much better than NA.

Taking anything seriously from the bnet forums is as detrimental as taking advice from the "starcraft strategy" channel.

Fact is most bronze/silvers and newer players use/are most familiar with bnet than with sc2sea. Sad but true. With the open and recruitment drive we should bring some interest to sc2sea aswell for people who haven't heard of them before.

been on sc2 for quite a few months, but other than a few BSG Open tourneys (at which I did terribly), this is the first community thing that I would love to get involved in.

We are no longer doing a recruiting drive because we've already got our numbers up, but feel free to join the mGG channel for games and chat. The captains select new people to join based on their contribution to the channel and general personality.
