Hello all, i have been having a problem with Diablo 3 since launch, i have had no response to my support ticket (no supprise, they probably have thousands) and there has been no response on the Diablo forums.

So i was hoping one of the smart cookies on here would have some clue as to the cause of the problem

Basically i can't get past the loading screen after character selection. I have re-installed the game twice, restarted my comp multiple times, changed all of the graphic settings, run as admin etc. My comp is able to run the game fine and it is not an internet problem.

I had one good run last night where i got in and was able to play for an hour or so (no lag during this time), but since then i have not been able to get in on any server, even when the servers are not down.

Anyone got any ideas?

Login servers are down mate, once you get into game you're fine because you're already past the login server and now onto the game server.

No, this has been happening while the servers were up and my friends were playing, i can log in no problem, but i can't get passed the loading screen.

@TS:you are just unlucky to the maxed.
There is no problem with the game itself,perhaps a bit on the server.

Blizz has been doing emergency maintenance behind the scenes and have said there may be problems with random crashes and such. Servers are down to try and fix all those problems now

I'm hoping that it will be fixed, but i have not found any other cases of it so far, therefore i doubt they are looking into this specifically.

Nope, servers are up again and i still get caught on the loading screen, anybody have any ideas how i might fix this?

What do you mean by "loading screen"?

Like, when you're logging in and it says "connecting to b.net, authenticating credentials" etc? Because if it's getting stuck here, it's just the server problems they've been having. If it's at a different stage (ie opening the game or something) There might be an issue with the game.

... however, try scrolling thru the spam in the D3 forums.. I believe they are working fast to fix all the problems there.. so check for updates there..

I mean the loading screen with the helpful hints and the 5 or so red diamond shapes down the bottom. The loading screen after character selection. I have searched through but not found any that were similar

Can you please give us more detail about the error and what you've tried?

Does it freeze? Does it crash to the desktop? Do you get error messages? Is it always the same? What have you tried? Have you reinstalled?

More details on the Error would be nice though, what error number etc.

No error, thats the worst part. It just keeps loading. I can leave it for an hour and it just keeps going. It is always the same except for one occasion last night where i got in, played for about an hour, then had to go. Then when i came back, got stuck on the loading screen again.

I was a bit unclear, it just won't do anything, it doesn't stop, it doesn't crash, doesn't give me an error. i have to Alt+f4 just to get out

Lol if its a support ticket. dont hold ur breathe . Blizzard take a very long time to answer tickets.
