Hi guys,
Im after your opinion. my current computer specs are 8gb ddr2 ram quad core Q9400 2.66ghz processor. nvida Geforce 9600 GT (2gb). im wondering at the moment when i stream my sc2 lags slightly. im wondering is it my processor or my gfx card? if my gfx card what should i get to replace it ? any help would be awesome. cheers.

Streaming is a CPU thing. I'd recommend you get a new processor, perhaps wait for Ivy Bridge.

Uhh DDr2 Ram? That abit out dated. if anything i would want to upgrade that.

Well alongside the upgrade of the CPU, he would need to get a new mobo, at which point he would need to get DDR3 RAM anyway, so yeah, CPU upgrade.

EDIT
That is if he follows through on getting an Ivy Bridge CPU as I suggested.

so i pretty much should get a new computer! :P. so getting an ivy bridge cpu when they come out and ddr3 ram, but what type of gfx card should i get ? i want something thats decent. anywhere to 600-700 dollars would be good.

600-700 dollars for graphics alone? And really its just the motherboard, CPU and RAM, the rest can stay as it is. But if you do want a new computer, post up your budget for the whole thing =)

Suggestion:New Pc
Some factor which should be considered as follows:
1)The motherboard- will yours be able to handle the newer graphic card?
2)RAM-Do you want to use ddr2 all the way?
3)Budget-Are you on limited amount of money?
4)Buy as a whole-Are there good package out there?

If you are willing to spend that much, I recommend a Radeon HD 7970. They were released recently, and work amazingly. I think I paid just over 700 dollars for mine.
