Our very own TTneKo has taken 1st place in the SummerSmash LAN in Brisbane not dropping a set and beating KJH 2-1 in the finals. A very well deserved result for this hard working player fighting his way to become one of the top players in SEA. Even more success is just on the horizon for TTneKo if he keeps this up! One day we'll be able to say "We knew this guy before he was a 3 time GSL, MLG, and Dreamhack Champion" and be all nerd hipsters. Congrats Nick! We all can't wait to see what the future holds for you.

Thanks everyone who is supporting me ^_^ it really does mean a lot to me to see some results and support from the effort (or lack of sometimes..) I put in. Also thank you to @Fraglabs and the Lansmash team for running such an excellent tournament.

It was only my second lan and I'm dedicated to prove what I am worth in the sc2sea community! So keep a look out for me : )

Long story short my friend who came with me who was also playing in the tournament go into a fight with one of the "regulars" at the LANSmash event and was kicked out, and i was his lift so I decided to leave after round 1.

2 people = 1 round
4 people = 2 rounds
8 people = 3 rounds
16 people = 4 rounds
32 people = 5 rounds

30 people in the comp = 5 rounds....

it was the right amount of rounds to find a winner but yeah seems like a small comp, also seems like there was finals afterwards? Since KJH (KangSPR i assume?) and TTneko met in the finals ^_^

I also think swiss is a good format considering we are trying to grow the scene here in Brisbane. New players aren't gonna want to play if they are gonna be knocked out by some monster like neko or KJH in round1

Not meant to derail the thread at all but have been asked by many to post this.

So the story of what happened roughly:

My mate and I were in the middle of playing our games for the tournament, he was sitting to my right and there was this middle-aged/going bald/angry fat guy on my left who was playing left for dead or some shoot'em up game. He was constantly yelling at his computer/people around him (worse than the halo guys at ACL GC) saying "**** my team is shit, what the **** are you ***** doing rah rah rah" and we were RIGHT next to him and trying to concentrate playing our tourney games. So my mate is getting really agitated by this and goes mate can you please shut up we're trying to concentrate and play here and the guy turns round and goes what did you say? So he says again can you please shut up we're trying to play a tournament here, and the guy ******* goes crazy and yells come at me you ****. I was in the middle of both of them trying to play while they were yelling at each other for awhile longer, anyway so my mate who's not one to stand down cause he's a gym junkie/trains mma goes whats your problem mate and the FPS dude is like fuming right now and stands up and goes up to my mate and grabs him and then they start fisticuffs for a few seconds before I / everyone else jump in to stop it.

Yeah it really sucked. I was looking forward to playing you as well man. I haven't got the chance to play serious matches against a lot of good players and you are one of them
