I'm slightly intrigued as to why they are using gaming laptops. Should be a good tournament nonetheless! Good luck to all competitors!

I would suggest it's simply portability. I'm not familiar with FragLabs and how they operate, but if they are going to be shipping these around the country for national events, I can understand how a laptop is easier. And these laptops will definitely handle SC2 and then some! Plugged in to a monitor and peripherals, you won't notice the difference at the user level anyway.

Checking FragLabs out, they look like they are worth my attention next time I'm thinking about a new PC - pretty sweet pricing + onsite warranty makes it competitive with building your own without the hassle). Congrats ACL on picking up what looks like a perfect sponsor

Those lappys are i7, 1.5GB gfx and DDR3 RAM ... That is one BEAST gaming computer any way you slice it. Plug in that screen and your periphals from home (like any good LAN-er) and you're gonna be crankin' SC2 with some sweet FPS, better than most desktop PCs (or mine at least).
