I just downloaded the new patch today and have noticed that when I:
1. Enter Starcraft
2. Start a game
..my Windows 7 microphone settings seems to totally boost my 'Front Mic' option so that my microphone becomes ridiculously senstitive.
This is seriously irritating because I am usually always on teamspeak with other TA guys when playing, and I have to either mute myself of alt+tab and manually turn it back down.
Has anyone else had a similar issue or any idea on how to fix?
(Btw - i have SC2 Voice settings all 'unticked' / muted / off.)
There was a few glitches in the SEA patch to do with sound. The APM monitoring peripherals where really messing up sound ask souljah about that. My only advice is make sure you have the latest drivers etc. Then talk to blizzard.

Hmmmm.. Well I use Turtle Beach x11's, which as far as I know don't require any drivers?
Or do you mean drivers for something else?
Generally speaking you will have a driver of some kind either for your headset if its a USB one if it plugs it it normally plugs into your sound card.
The other important thing you might need to look into is the volume control of team speak. The thing that can change the sound levels of different applications. Other than that Im out of ideas.

I dont really know how to do this, but I just tried opening SC2 without Teamspeak on anyway just in case, and it still does the same thing.
Thanks for your ideas though.
I currently have a Technical Support Ticket open with Blizzard, and they are responding to me with ideas to fix it.
Notably, they have been very quick on replies - often replying within 8 or so hours, are very kind, and after the first message are giving personalised advice. I like Blizzard. :P
This will be patched. This happens to a lot of people with patches and it frustrating but is usually fixed very soon if not very sooner than soon of sooner
