Hi,

I have a problem browsing through the forum of sc2sea :

I can't open spoilers of the 1st post ( topic post w.e u call it)

EG : The TGM thread, Anime / Manga thread

Whenever I click that spoiler link, it justs brings my screen back to the very top of the page. But when I click the spoiler link of the 2nd post, it opens up and I can see all the contents.

Any ideas how to fix it?

PS : If u use I.E, it works, but I love mozilla firefox, which is the one I'm using right now.

I've had this happen before, but it's always gone away as soon as I've refreshed the page, so no idea about working out what caused it... :/

Yep as soon as I've refreshed the page, it works fine.

Just as an excercise, the spoiler tags on this website are implemented as a link with the href set to "#" which is shorthand for the current page, and if you just have a link to # will cause you to scroll to the top of the page.

There is also an onclick written in javascript which hides/shows a bunch of text (hence the spoiler bit).

Given that you get shifted to the top of the page, and the spoiler fails to show, I can only assume that this occurs when something weird happens and the page fails to load fully (i.e. if the script that runs on the spoiler isn't downloaded correctly it's just a plain old link to "#").

Since I've only ever seen this happen at work where I'm behind a proxy which behaves strangely and occasionally causes firefox to just hang for a few seconds, it's likely due to something similar happening for you and causing the page to get interrupted while it's loading...

This is a recurring problem for me too and I've no idea what the problem is. It has happened to me on Firefox and Chrome (my primary browser is Chrome)\

What happens is when you click a spoiler tag, it just pops you to the top of the page and adds a '#' sign at the end of the URL URL. Subsequent clicking on the spoiler tags will just keep popping you to the top.
The only way I could resolve this was to refresh(without the # in the URL) and try clicking the spoiler tag again, and do this until it worked.

Try a CTRL+F5 forced refresh, and then try to re-open the spoiler-tag, that's my only suggestion if your browser is up to date

Every now and then this happens to me I just refresh the page and it works fine
