Seriously guys,

Over the last 4 hours, I have been thinking that there has been something seriously wrong with my laptop. In terms of graphics my Laptop has been running Sc2 extremely well til now, I was curious as to why this might be happening....

This is just coming off the Probes and SCVS for some weird reason, its like as if there was like a blue huge as line/light coming off the probes and an orange one coming off the scvs. Its really hard to explain, but i posted an attachment with what comes up in game.

I tried everything, updating my drivers roll backs etc, even going full system scans checking my version of DirectX. I w as just wondering could it be Bnet, or is it my comp because this is the only game like this o.O

Most likely graphics card or other hardware overheating. Post load temps if possible? Have you done any overclocking recently?

The first thing that comes to mind is something GPU related; be it drivers or the hardware itself.

Considering you've ruled out drivers, I'd say it could be hardware related. Like Aean mentioned, have you noted the temperatures your laptop is running at whilst running SCII? It's a long-shot, but try re-installing the SCII client, and see if that rectifies the problem.

Also, is it happening in any other games? If you don't have any to test it with, download Steam & pick up TF2 while it's free-to-play and you can try it out there.

Get back to us, can't have a SCII player with SCVs thinking they're Jedi Knights wielding light sabers while mining!

looks like you got a sneak peak in the next patch where they buff the collosi beam so it covers half the screen.

really cool effect tho but seriously its a GFX/driver card issue for sure.

And no, it has absolutely no effect on anyother game =/ It is just starcraft, And i have tried rolling back my drivers and updating and them but it makes absolutely no difference. As to overheating, this problem is only recent and recently ive hardly ever used my laptop.

does SC2 have v-sync? Sometimes turning it off results in higher FPS (Like in LoL, for example) but it increases the likelihood of retarded occurrences such as this one.

If not, perhaps trying a re-install would solve the issue?
