It has come to my attention that MrNayNay/Boxer/MKP has been caught to have smurfed accounts as proven by this thread. Smurfing is a form of unfair play and degrades the environment from even competition.
As organizer of PSTL, I will not tolerate players like MrNayNay/Boxer/MKP to participate in my events. They are NEVER allowed. As a result, MKP's game during the EVE vs mAv match is now null and void. Thus, the win for that game will be given to MKP's opponent Rorschach. As a result, EVE should have won 4-1.
For the semifinals, it will be EVE vs inFi.
I would like to apologize to team mAv for this unfortunate event. But let this be a lesson that you must be wary of members you take into your team and avoid sharing of accounts among teammates to take an unfair advantage. Managers and captains, know your members and apply strict discipline.

I would like to point out that that thread proves nothing. Sure, MrNayNay/Boxer/MKP may be a person with multiple accounts but the other side of the story is that his friend who learns from him played the BSG on his computer on that day. This is something that cannot be proven from both sides and will remain ambiguous.
Therefore the whole premise of disqualifying an entire team based on something which cannot proven seems too hasty of a decision.
Smurfing in a low level competitive environment such as BSG is bad. However, I do not see how smurfing in a tournament where all ranks are allowed to play degrades any of the competitive aspect.
It has less to do with degrading the competitive aspect of this tournament and more that those involved in cheating should not be tolerated or permitted to play within the community. Breaking the rules in a tournament instantly means you cannot be trusted to uphold fair play in another.
We first felt something was fishy when MrNayNay logged right after the game and almost instantly MKP logged in. Another case which we suspected of account sharing were ProAnn and Phoenix as they did the similiar thing. We checked the replays of ProAnn and phoenix and recognised very similiar play styles(first queen always made in 2nd base etc),apm, controls(same control grps) but did not investigate further as we did not know any specific means/program to spot on these similarities. It would be good if the admins could double check this 2 games(Phoneix vs Maltiso/ ProAnn vs Massarrcism) too.
Smurfing in a tournament where all ranks are allowed is acceptable only in 1v1's tournament. It's alright for you to create or use a random account for 1v1 as the competition focuses on individual achievement and glory. Its not an uncommon sight to see professional players creating random accounts and joining incups and winning them because afterall it is just a individual achievement.
But sadly PSTL is a TEAM BASED Tournament.
It is a tournament based on the COLLECTIVE team effort that determines the outcome of the games, its no longer an individual glory thing. So how is 1 person playing 2 account or another player smurfing for the team counted as perfectly acceptable. You could just use the stronger players to play more than once to increase your likelihood of winning or asking other strong players from different clan to help smurf for your competition which is plain against the rules as the tournament only allows you to use players from your team line up. Doesnt this dilute the competitive aspect? Why would 5 players train hard for the team league if 2 of the strongest players from the other team could be repeatedly field in the match ups?Might as well just focus on 1-2 players and just field them in all the lineups. It's obviously a no brainer.
The admins have already fully prove that he was cheating via replay analysis and other stuffs(IP Add etc) so i dont see what the ambiguity is.
Just trying to promote competitive fair gaming play. Cheers!
