Hi all,

A bit about me, I've been playing since beta and ever since season 1 I've been using SC2Gears to record all my games. I got a bit bored, so I decided that I'll host up a mega replay pack for those wondering what the different is between Diamond in Season 1 to GM in Season 5. With the quantity involved obviously I'd never expect anyone to watch a 10th of these replays, but it may be useful to see the difference between many aspects of my play that have changed over time and helped me progress as a player and through the leagues.

Hopefully it also gives you a few idea's on what you can work on to improve yourself. Also, if you're looking for advice in a specific match up here is a large sample for you to examine, on almost every map out there.

So, as a result I present you my MEGA replay pack with 2529 replays, essentially every game I've played on ladder since season 1.

I highly recommend you use a program like sc2gears (https://sites.google.com/site/sc2gears/) to get the most out of it, and also check out for examples when unit XYZ was built, what the response was, etc.

Obviously the good, the bad and the ugly is included in this, so I can't say that they will all be high quality games, but I hope you enjoy.

Also, I'm not freakishly quiet in all my games, the chat has been stripped out to maintain a bit of privacy, I've got no idea what I've said to friends etc during games, so it was all removed.

how do you strip the chat out of your games? :O

Basically sc2 replays are mpq files, so you can use ladik's mpq editors command prompt to manipulate them. From there it's stripping out replay.message.events and replacing it with a blank file for all the replays, hence no chat.

If people are interested I'll make a more detailed tutorial as to how you can turn it into a batch process to do it all at once to all your replays.

Heh, at first I thought, "why would I want to watch diamond games",

Then I started playing and lost every game versus toss so far, (I'm plat, they are plat), I can't just copy people well so I'm going to check out a chunk of your games and see what I can gleam that I may be able to copy from when you weren't GM!

Hmm heres what i got from watching about 15 of your TvZs

When u go 2 quuens with one spine, it means that mass lings or a baneling timing is incoming. I should react by throwing down bunkers or getting out seige.

All the games i watched were on shattered. so i learnt that if its cross spawn, the first marine can intercept your first overlord at the natural of the base opposite mine

When you go 2 queens with 2 spines, it means your are setting up for a long game. Elevator drops could do a lot of damage. Also, any attack with 3 tanks by 9.00 will do a lot of damage.

It would be great if more GMs would release replay packs like yours . i wanna see how GMs play their tvt or tvp also
