In our final game of of Yellow and White vs Castigators. Two of Castigator players went for zerglings (and proceeded to win the game using double sling rush), which was clearly against the rules. Most on our team wanted remake very early in the game, however due to excessive amount of BM in the game, the idea of rm was poorly communicated and the game somehow continued on despite team castigator clearly in violation of the rules.

We demand a rematch, because the game wasn't supposed to be played in the first place.

* For further investigation, I will be ready to email the replays.

Castigators were also under the impression that every game we had to say our own units first and proceeded to lie to us about what units that had chosen in the 2nd game. Is there a rule against that?

In game 3, deL went random and we got lucky with him rolling lings after players from team Yellow and White failed to announce their units in any of our 3 games despite being told numerous times of the rule and their captain wTinte asking them numerous times to do so.
They agreed to play the game out after we discussed the random unit rule at the start while the game was paused and only decided they wanted a rematch after the game was over.

Bottom line, this is supposed to be a fun league. Carrying on in this fashion even before you were legitimately beaten is not the way to behave.

I have the replays, I will go and watch them, but if del randomed zerglings after another team member had already chosen them, that's fine. Will check out the BM allegations...

I have sent a PM to all players involved with my decision. In short, a rematch will not be granted.

Yellow and White believed that the Castigators were breaking the rules by having two zerglings. One of the zerglings was chosen by random, which has been explained before as being allowed, as long as the non-random zergling was chosen first.

There was BM from both teams, but not excessive. I would, however, prefer to see zero BM in the future, and I hope both of these teams, and everyone playing in the tournament, can take that on board

BM is a monster isn't it, slip up a little bit, it grows.

Anyway since the decision already came, I will honor it. Thank you asrathaiel

Though, could you take the time to explain "highest on the monobattles league ladder" bit please. My understanding is that this is based on the amount of points we have (everyone is on zero, hence all equal) Castigator's team raised something about seeding priority, I might have missed some info while I was reading the thread, if you could explain that bit again it would be great.

All teams were seeded onto the monobattles league ladder according to the various sc2 ladder rankings of their individual players.

This was done so we'd be able to begin round one with a ranked ladder and the handicap system (of the higher ranked team announcing their units first) ready for the round one games.

Im just disappointed with the amount of cannon rushing in a monobattle...we basically lost due to that. It really ruined our game. Wasn't much fun.

It kinda works out like that when your oppounants go Carrier, Void Ray, Banshee and Hellion, and you dont have any AA units (Roach, Ling, Ultra and Collousus :>)
