ProGaming Au is a website that is currently under development. The BETA is expected to be released sometime this year. The purpose of this website is to allow gamers from Australia and the region around it to have a gaming community for many games like sc2, Black Ops, HALO, Killzone etc. It will have Ps3, Xbox 360, Wii and Pc platforms where people can organise matches, get teams together, have tournaments and even make real money bets on games.

I don't know much about the website, a lot of their information is said in their video.

Seems a lot like what cybergamer.com.au tries to do but it never really caught on for SC2.

The site has been up for a fair while now, started by "boomser" the css player. Nothing has been updated for like 6+ months.

yeah it really seems liek games get their niche community and stick to it, i dont see this succeeding well for sc2.

i mean, cs 1.6 has gotfrag for international and esau or whatever it was for australia. both those websites try to incorporate other games but their communities are just elsewhere and have no reason to switch over. No ones going to drop teamliquids sc2 coverage to start visiting gotfrag for theirs, and no ones going to drop sc2sea's coverage to start looking at this new websites.

But i guess i still wish them luck, maybe one day one of these websites will succeed but right now i just dont see all communities uniting under one front unless literally every community is involved heavily and people like nirvana would be willing to take sc2sea.com down and run virtually a very similar section under that website.

yea i also had a thouhgt that if i expanded sc2sea to other games, would i be able to attract the same following? (unlikely) and will the current community feel not so passionate behind it knowing the site is not soley dedicated to them anymore? (likely!)

I think the only transition for sc2sea at the moment would be supporting another blizzard game like diablo 3 as it will share a common player database and community and hopefully blizzard puts it on the SEA server as well.
