With permission from the usual organiser, Eddie and one of the administrators of sc2sea, nirvAna, I am proud to announce the return of

GPD Open

But before we go on to return, there are a few things to get out of the way. And to do that, we've got polls! Oh joy!

First is frequency! Of course, it will still be on a Sunday. Anyway, you have a choice of

Every week
Every fortnight
Once a month
Once every two months

Oh, and before I forget this. At the moment, it's going to be a one man show (what have I gotten myself into :l ) But...

LOOKING FOR ADMINISTRATORS - BOTH PART TIME AND FULL TIME

As this is a community tournament, I hope the community will come to its aid, both in manpower and other things that may crop up as time goes along.

So, for all you people wishing it made a comeback (which strangely, that blog was posted right after I had gotten permission), here it is. The earliest we can get this show on the road is the 29th of September. Assuming I don't over sleep XD

Now to add another debate. How can we make it to allow ex masters to play and what would be the requirements?
I understand a lot of players got promoted to masters early in hots and then blizzard decided to make the league smaller which demoted a lot of players who have since been laddering actively but are unable to reclaim that spot.
I feel like the original rule for ex masters worked well but that will conflict with the ex masters mentioned above who, in my honest opinion should be able to play.

Note: I have never hit masters so the ex masters rule will not apply to me but I feel like something should be done for those who got masters in the beginning of hots that then got demoted

In regards to the ex-masters rule:

WoL ex-masters players should be allowed to play, provided that they haven't hit masters in HotS at all.

Focus on the HotS ex-masters in terms of this topic's discussion, imo.

I think BSG has nice rules on previous plat/diamonds which IMO would be great to apply to ex masters.
