Malice is a dedicated player who does what many can't - grind StarCraft 2 for hours each day. I believe he is a great asset to Qlimax Crew as his motivation and dedication will carry us to many victories.

Savior:
Malice has been a friend of mine for quite a while now and it's been awesome to see him progress as a player within StarCraft 2. Malice is taking a gap year at the moment and I'm really looking forward to seeing what he can achieve in HOTS. Expect big things from him... As long as he spends less time on LoL.

I fail to see how most of the players being from IXL is relevant...

We pick whom we deem as a good player and who will represent us positively, not from what clan they were from or who they are affiliated with etc.

Real talk - I hope Malice realises he can't BM now he's representing a team/sponsors.

About the IXL/qmX business - while I understand your decision. You can't say it wasn't because you guys are mates thru IXL.. there are other top Protoss players not on teams as I mentioned above, such as MegaFonzie. That being said, I totally understand the concept of recruiting for form a team that gets along and will work well together - So I understand this decision.

Good luck lads... Will we see more big things from qmX soon?

EDIT: If AuX is team then there is still guys like BigBird, Nomad (I think Protos..???) Probe, Alpha Champi or Spider8 who are arguably better or more known in the scene - thus bring more exposure to your team. Sure Probe and Alpha are in mGG but that could be considered a clan, right?...

I've never noticed Malice, Arguably - the above players are stronger or at least more acomplished and known Protoss's - in my opinion. Just sayin' its silly to think that IXL relationship isn't part of why they picked Malice - obviously it is. if it was purely on skill from a non-team'd protoss then there may have been other options. However its fair to pick up someone with an existing relationship to the other members of your team. Just don't act like it wasn't because of those reasons

I believe that the decision WAS based on relationship within IXL - AND THAT IS TOTALLY FINE. I'm not trying to tell qmX they are doing something wrong or push my view on the situation on anyone. Malice is skilled, if they had never really spoken to him they may still have picked him or tried to get others - but they did know him, quite well. So it's totally legit to pick Malice as their protoss.

Ok lets see if i can sum up this thread

First off CONGRATS to Malice, im sure Mezje sees something that lot of us havn't as he flys under the radar, so good luck and will look forward to seeing what u can do with team support

Second on the whole clan to team shit, really who cares its been done time and again, just off the top of my head there was a TA team an aLt team also a ToR team, why does it matter if they recruit off a clan they have a lot of experience with, I know BigBird is an awesome player for example but they might not think so, its up to them. We as a community shouldn't go sidetracked onto such meaningless dribble.

Malice has been picked up by team Qlimax (hahaha nice name ) we should be happy for him theres no need for this extra crap. GOOD DAY SIRS

In terms of Qmx/IXL, we fully support the players and their recent decisions, and can confirm there are no shady under dealings, planned mergers or even hard feelings between Qmx and IXL. We have the utmost respect for them as a team and wish them luck in their future endeavours.

I don't really know who all the guys involved in this thing is because I haven't been playing for so long.... but I wanna say people shouldn't give a team shit for recruiting someone. They can recruit who they want and I don't think you should say they should have recruited someone else over who they did. Skill isn't the only thing you should look at when you recruit and I don't think you can just say someone is less skilled than another so easily unless there's a huge gap. Other things like getting along with your teammates, willingness to share their thoughts and dedication, etc. are all part of it. I'm not surprised if people recruit from their own clan / ex clan because those would be people they are more familiar with.

I don't get how an announcement for a new teammate can turn into something like this, it's really just stupid. Anyways, congratulations to Malice and Qmx!
