Please read the rules if this is your first time entering

Tournament Eligibility:
You must be legitimately in the Bronze, Silver or Gold league (1v1 - SEA license) and you must be active on ladder.
Everyone will be checked for typical smurf activity designed to keep them in a lower league.
Anyone found to be smurfing will be added to the BSG Hall of Shame so everyone can be aware of their shameful acts.

Battle.net group: "sc2seaBSG"

Rules

You must contact your opponent on Battle.net preferably by being in chat channel "sc2seaBSG" to play your match
You have ~15 minutes to start your Round 1 match; anybody that is not contactable after 10 minutes will be disqualified. This 10 minute timeout rule applies throughout the tournament.
You must play your main 1v1 ladder race throughout tournament.
Observers: Tournament admins or official streamers are always allowed and the only ones to observe your game
Problems/Questions: When in doubt about anything, contact an admin
Reporting Results: After the match has been played, you must report the result by pm to an admin
Disconnects: If a player disconnects, the game must be replayed. If a player disconnects for a second time, his opponent will be awarded a free-win. A win may also be awarded if the player that disconnected was significantly behind at the time of disconnection. Contact an admin if you would like your game/replay reviewed.
Pauses: You must notify your opponent in game if you wish to pause. This pause should not exceed 5 minutes. Excessive pausing in game may lead to disqualification.
Bad Manner will not be tolerated. Anyone caught BMing will be warned. Further offenses will lead to disqualification. Any racist, hateful or excessively derogatory language may lead to removal without warning. We are a friendly group and we'd like to see it stay that way.
Replays: Should be saved at least until the following tournament. Anyone asked by admins to provide a replay who cannot do so will be disqualified.
Anyone suspected of smurfing (playing another person's account, manipulating ladder to be in a lower league) will be thoroughly investigated and if found guilty, prizes will be stripped and they will be reported to Blizzard and added to the Hall of Shame.

Format

1. Round of 32 bo1 on Cloud Kingdom
2. Round of 16 bo1 on Ohana LE
3. Quarter Finals bo3 on Daybreak LE
4. Semi Finals bo3 on Akilon Flats
5. Grand Final bo5 on Newkirk District

For finals rounds that are best of 3 or 5, loser of previous game may pick any map from the following list. Maps may be repeated as many times as players wish.

A note on HoTS: This is the last BSG Open before HoTs release. There will be a two-week break in BSGs after HoTS release, to give everyone a chance to buy it, get used to it, and get a league placement. The first HoTS BSG tournament will be on Saturday April 6th; however, as it will take longer than two weeks for the leagues to properly stabilise (and our volunteer coaches will also be learning the game), there will be no coaching prizes until June 1st. By that time, players should be roughly in the correct leagues for their skill level.
