Hey guys I just wanted to find out if any of you would be interested in playing a training map for Starcraft 2. The map will help you improve your micro skills with all the units. It will help you improve your macro management skills and also how to get better effective high apm It will also improve your Multi tasking ability in the game.
If you guys are interested please let me know as my company was planning to make one and I wanted Feedback!!
Every player gets infinite money but is confined to their own area.
They each have 4 hatcheries, 4 queens and 4 creep tumors and must:
- Produce 30 zerglings and send them to an area in the centre of the hatcheries, which will count the zerglings. (Larvae inject required for a fast time)
- Make a new creep tumor off all existing tumors.
Once the first player to do this has done it successfully, a timer goes off for 20 seconds.
With each new round:
- One second is taken off the timer.
With every 5 rounds:
- One hatchery, one queen and one creep tumor is added for each player.
- 5 more zerglings required.
It can also show on average the fastest player. The timer will go down to 1 second extra allowed and then the game will just continue until one player is left. Also, to speed the game up, once the timer has finished, the next round begins.
If no one feels like making this map, I'll make it myself, but I'll leave it here as a suggestion first. For zerg macro, thats the best possible option I can see, although it disregards micro completely.
You guys have actually loaded up the custom game of "multitasking trainer 0.941" ? The only problem with it is that the menu options are variable values not words. Play multitasking Trainer v1.0 once (which is broken the zergling doesn't kill your worker) but the values are words the first selection is race the second selection is level of challenge. Once your past the easiest level if your base (and I assume energy on your queen) gets above X level you lose. I would love to see a more maps like that where different build orders are good. In Multitasking trainer you need a flying pick up unit for protos that makes it 2 gate robo standard build order, also its once base no second base to get.
I can see how it might be fun to make a 2 player version of the map. How ever I think you will find a single player version of a map like this is better for training because your going to want to play it over and over again to get better.

I disagree. If someone was to make a competitive multiplayer multitasker, people would play again and again just to try and win, AS WELL AS the fact they would get better at multitasking and macro.

i remember they had that for that spelling game word wars or something, which was banned because it sometimes generated profanaties from the 27,000 dictionary it uses. really silly ban reason lol.
