Hey all, im one of the admins for a new LAN/e-sports event in Sydney called Flank, and with our first event in just over a month away, i thought id start letting people know about us.

Our first event is going to be able to hold a bit over 120 players, we're going to have esports style tournaments (ie, proper rules and strict regulation with real prize money) for CS:GO, SC2 and LoL, as well as a bunch of other competitions throughout the day in the following games to name a few:

•Star Craft 2
•Team Fortress 2
•League of legends
•Call of duty
•Counter strike
•Minecraft
•Left 4 dead 2
•Unreal Tournament 2004
•Portal 2 time trials

Prizes for the SC2 tournament are:
$200 for 1st
$100 for 2nd
**MORE PRIZES IF WE GET OVER 20 SIGNUPS!** i'll add a few razer peripherals to hand out randomly to dudes that enter the sc2 tourny such as:
razer arctosa gaming keyboard
razer death adder gaming mouse
or possibly other peripherals, we have many peripherals. do you want to know how many peripherals we have? LOTS. so sign up doods.

Prizes are awarded for competitions and other cool events throughout the day, to the sum of over $1500 in cash and prizes as a minimum.

We will provide a rather good network for people to play on, our switch network is something we are very proud of and is capable of providing full gigabit to each player and with a fibre backbone capabale of chomping through 480gbits per second, we're pretty confident – so come try and clog up our network as much as you can, i dare you (like seriously. bring 20 NIC's hooked up to a super mobo if you want. GL HF trying to pwn our network, wont happen since we have the BEST LAN network in Sydney)

pja - Whats wrong with byoc? It's a bit of an effort to lug it around, but the fun is well worth it =)

Nom - I know the feeling, me and my friends have been wanting to go to respawn for a fair while, we'll eventually make the trip. Once the stars allign.

Indeedo, though if we dont get the full 16 for the bracket, we'll still run it, but just give out some of our peripheral prizes instead of putting all that cash up for grabs - so the 1 GM guy thats coming can score an ez pz 150$ headset or something

If that is the case, would you run a second prize too, or just all for first?

always be a first and second prize =) i posted the prize distribution on our facebook page for all the games including sc2 - if we get over 16 people though then we'll throw in the $300 as well as those prizes.
