Over the past 5 weeks the Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum players of mGG have been competing in the Fusion Slugs BSGP Clan league. Although our end result was not ideal, that does not reflect the amazing improvement our players have made over the last couple weeks.
In Week 1 mGG lost all 5 of their games vs Terrans with only Maverick double killing to stop an all kill against the team QED. The end result being a low mGG 2- QED 5.
Week 2, mGG found themselves facing off against the clan league host themselves, Fusion Slugs. After a very competitive series, Fusion Slugs took a 5 – 3 win over mGG, with games being won by metaStatic, mGGDrGooSe (an amazing game on metropolis) and NiceLiquid.
Even with the improved results though in week 2, mGG had a score of 0-2 over the last 2 weeks and so was positioned into the loosers semis. This did not deter our players from playing their best and practicing hard, ready to take some games they went into week 3 against the clan leagues leading and heavily favoured to win team, Team Night.
In week 3 mGG bounced back to take their first win of the tournament, with a strong end score of mGG 5 – TN 2. This week showed a huge turning point for mGG in this clan league and BIG morale booster as well. With games being won by mGGDrGooSe, Maverick and Tiger.
Week 4 brought mGG up against the clan TCP. After a strong 2-0 start from their starting player redux, mGG brought in our plat player mGGZeratul. mGGZeratual impressed every one with mGG’s first ever (in any mGG Clan war game) All Kill. mGG winning the series 5-2.
The 5th and Final week of the Clan league had a rematch up against QED, and mGG was ready for some revenge. After the 2-5 losses to QED in week 1, QED were viewed to be the favorites to win. But mGG after their recent success in the past weeks were up for the challenge. Fielding our Gold Protoss player mGGNemesis for the first time in the clan league, we got a very strong 4-1 lead with Nemesis only JUST missing out on the all kill. QED’s Postage was looking strong, stopping Nemesis’s streak and winning a game against DrGooSe, and so for the 2nd time for the clan league, Tiger was put in by mGG and took a strong win. Giving mGG a victory over QED with a final score of 5-2, the same score that QED had defeated mGG with in week 1.
This victory over QED granted mGG 5th place in the clan league. However after the strong victories in week 3, 4 and 5, mGG boasted the strongest improvement in this competition and look forward to a chance to prove ourselves again (and have a whole lot of fun).
I would like to take this chance to thank all those involved. Fusion Slugs and their leader BenAD for running this amazing tournament. To the casters who presented these games each and every week. To mGG’s team captain in this competition, Asrathiel for organizing the matches. And to all the players who competed in this tournament and participated. Lastly to the sportors who watched the stream and cheered our players on.
Nice write up buddy! There was definitely a lot of improvement from all the players...and I'm gonna remember that game between Eagle and DrGooSe on Metropolis for a longgggg time. That was so epic.
How awesome is mGGAlpha doing the write up for mGG BSGP League for pass weeks, when i was over at his place (which was an awesome week ), not even a single complain from him doing this write up, caring and putting in the the effort for our clan is a big thumbs up, props to my buddy and i would like to thank all the captains from mGG for their efforts putting this clan together and improving tremendously. Last but not least, thanking FS (Fusion Slugs) for organizing the BSGP Clan League thumbs up.

From the shadows I come! I fear not the man who has practiced 10,000 kicks once, but I fear the man who has practiced one kick 10,000 times.
I'm super proud of everyone... basically I entered a team to gauge the committment of the players to turning up each week, to help me decide if we should enter a BSG team in the next SEACL. So not only did everyone show up and remain committed, but we put on a good show and got some excellent wins.
