2030Hrs AEST: ToR
VS
TCP
The two best new clans of 2011, face off in the first round. TCP just pipped ToR to the award and also managed to finish just ahead of ToR in Tier 4 in last season SEACL. Tier 5 however was a different story, with ToR managing a 5th place finish, where as TCP finished a surprising 10th after being named one of the favourites to win Tier 5. Both have strong teams, both could win this tournament. It's all on the line.
2030Hrs AEST: IXL
VS
FaDe
The Ninth legion (IXL) are a new clan, formed during the last SEACL. As far as I can tell, they havent played in any sort of clan events as yet so it will be interesting to see how they adapt for a team format. FaDe had two Tier 4 teams and a Tier 5 team in SEACL, taking 6th and 13th in Tier 4 (out of 16) and 9th in Tier 5 (out of 11). The tier 5 position was a lot lower then they deserved, mostly due to getting 4 draws. Just a few map result difference and they would of at least 7th.
2030Hrs AEST: mGG
VS
QED
Another new clan, mGG was formed originally as a BSGP clan, so this tournament should be right up their alley. They were able to take down TCP in a GP clan war not long ago, however they have had a few players promote to the higher leagues now. QED meanwhile had two teams competing in Tier 5 in SEACL, splitting their players between them and still taking 4th and 6th! Whilst some of those stars are now Diamond or better, with those two teams combined now, they will be a strong contender.

2030Hrs AEST: Team Night
VS
Fusion Slugs
Team Night are yet another new clan who have yet to compete in a SEACL, so this tournament is a great chance to get their players and the team management some experience. They face the hosts, the Fusion Slugs, who managed 7th in Tier 5 in the last SEACL. Both sides meet recently in a BSG Clan War which went down to the wire so this should be a great match.
