1. Are you recruiting? Yes, always. PM me here or look me up on SEA @ Mezza.445
2. What happened to the Team SG trials in the archive thread?? The trials were specifically for SEA NW2. Unfortunately NW2 is currently still pending and therefore trials have been suspended due to changes in players' time commitment to NW2. New selections will be out once we have a finalised NW2 schedule to field our strongest and most current team at that point in time.
3. Why is the team roster so huge? Because we're that awesome.
Blizzard's hidden ELO ranking for the top 200 in SEA is finally published and we now have a list of the top 10 SG players on that list. These 10 will be participating in a Round Robin league.
Format
The selection league will be a round robin styled tournament with the top 5 players in points gaining entry into the final Team SG to represent our country at the next Nation Wars. If there is a 5th place tiebreak, head to head score will be the deciding factor. In the event that the match ends in a draw, the draw will not contribute any points and it will be replayed on the same map till a winner is decided.
Each player is to add all the other players to their lists and to arrange matches at their own timing/discretion. If you can't get hold of them, please revert to me of this forum and make it known, I'll facilitate the games. We aim to complete all the games and have a final result by the end of the month of November.
Maps
The first map in each 1v1 matchup will be one of the following 3.
1. Xel'Naga Caverns
2. Metalopolis
3. Lost Temple
The higher seeded player according to the following list will get to ban one map first, followed by the second player, who must then make a choice on which other map to play on. Subsequent matches will be on a loser picks system with the maps from the current ladder map pool, accurate to the most currently Battle.net patch.
Observers/Referees
Kindly please grant access to observation if requested by the following players. aLtnirVaNa, aLtSheepy, ice, altOxygeN, Revenant, Mezza. (basically confirmed team SG players and myself) Additional spectators are allowed at the discretion of both players and only if both players are in agreement, but are discouraged. No referees are needed to start a game but replays will have to be submitted, refer to the section below with regards to replay submission.
Disconnects
Disconnects at >3 mins according to game time are counted as losses unless both players agree to replay the match.
Points system
updated scores will be posted here: http://bit.ly/dtOu22
3 points 2-0 win
2 points 2-1 win
1 point 1-2 loss
0 points 0-2 loss

After long discussion with the team from Season 1 and with the selection deadline in a couple of weeks time, we have concluded that it was technically next to impossible to arrange for a massive round robin style league to select our top 10 due to everyone's real life commitments.
Therefore I went around polling a number of the old team members as well as the new hopefuls and had them pick straight shoo-ins to the team that honestly they felt didn't need to be trailed and the following 5 names were mentioned consistently. As such, they have been automatically granted positions in Team SG for Season 2 of SEA Nation Wars.
Currently in NS but ORDing 141210, and hence a lot more free time - Sundays should be free though. Not much in the way of tournament results, went out in RO8 of WD PSI qualifiers and Southern Cross 3.
hey xeen, i think there's some screwup in the system that i can't add ngenxeen.595 i think its affecting all the people who recently just switched names
can you pm me on bnet, Mezza.445 or pm me here on the forums your bnet email and add me as a realID friend, thanks.

1) When does recruitment end? I mean like is there a dateline or anything?
2) Specifically, what are the requirements to get in? eg) top-tier diamond, etc.
3) Other than being free on sundays, what other commitments are required of you?
4) Are you guys interested in people who want to cast sc2 matches? eg) commentators

No fixed deadline as of right now, but I'll expect registrations to be closing in a week's time. I'll give notice on the opening post
2) Specifically, what are the requirements to get in? eg) top-tier diamond, etc.
No, I can't be specific. Lots of top players have stopped laddering on SEA but they're furiously playing in NA ladder or playing their own custom games for practice purposes. And these are the equivalent of top tier clashes of ~2000 rating. In the ideal world, I'd like as many signups as possible and run the biggest bloody possible round robin league to decide on the final players but its not going to happen. So if you've clashed with the people above in the list on the ladder/in tournaments etc. and have come off on equal or better footing, I'd say you should put your name down. (and these fellas on the list are pretty damn strong players). As a benchmark, I'm pretty sure most if not all the players in the signup list were or are currently in the top 200. So that's what you should be aiming for.
3) Other than being free on sundays, what other commitments are required of you?
If you're in for the selection there'll be a playoff games. So you definitely have to participate in that, but that timing and game arrangement will be flexible. I'm hoping at the end of the whole Nation Wars Tournament, the whole team meets up for supper (breakfast seems a practical impossibility as most of these fellas are night owls) somewhere and have a big group photo taken
4) Are you guys interested in people who want to cast sc2 matches? eg) commentators
Yes definitely. Do you have a youtube/livestream/ustream page with your own VODs we can check out? If you do, please link them here or in the SEA VODs section of the forum.
We also have Kelly, myself, DFM and HDPhoenix who have been casting games since SEA Nation wars 1 and it would be good for the community to have more people available to cover not just SG games but the rest of the SEA games as well.
Hope these answers are sufficient!

I have some clarifications to make.
4) Are you guys interested in people who want to cast sc2 matches? eg) commentators
It depends what kind of Keyboard you have and how close your mic is to it. One of our casters not mentioning any names, Kelly. Types so loud cant hear what she or anyone else is saying heh.
