Well, ive noticed at the top of some forums over the last week the following strategys (occurs only the BSG i suppose) cos our scouting isnt at its best

1. pylon blocking ramps
2. mass banshee and gold expansion taking (on maps where available)
3. 2 hidden rax and scv all in
4. zvz . . untouched . . not seeing 6 pool anymore

Now because in these posts they highlight bz - Plat success i suppose more than 3 of the games i might play in an hour (av11-18 mins games im having) are doing it. So if we all kept quiet about these nubby tactics they wont pollute the majority of games . . .whaddya say?

now so far im only losing to the pylon block because the drone on hold pos gets a good hiding . . .do i simply sac more drones to stop, will his econ be as damaged as mine by doing this?

If he does a pylon block against you blindly (not a response to hatch first or anything) there are two options. The first is to do the drone stacking trick, where you move a significant amount of drones to the bottom of the ramp and click on the mineral patch at the natural, and then click attack onto the pylon. The other option is to simply compose yourself and stay on one base, get a 2nd queen and creep spread to the ramp and let the crawler headbutt the shit out of the pylons. From here you can either go into a mass speedling runby, a baneling bust or a roach bust. You can also use roaches to bust down the cannon.

It depends on what he is doing too. Making sure you have an evo at 6:30 vs a 1 base protoss is essential. Also queen production is a great way to sink your floated minerals from being on 1 base, and covers heavy gateway all ins (Transfuse) and Void rays (Anti-air).

Edit: oh and for the part where I said 'you can go into this, this or this' there is also the option to just macro. A fast macro hatch (if he doesn't have an expansion) or a 3rd (with queen production to cover void rays) if he does have an expansion is always good. Queens, Crawlers, Spores and Creep Spread cover most options players in the BSG may use .

I tried the drone stacking a few weeks ago and it didnt work. I was told they took drone stacking out? As in they still stack but they don't do the mass damage anymore.

Pretty sure it still works, just some maps you're drones will all just headbut a cliff rather then the pylon-block. If anyone could test and confirm that'd be awesome!

Stacking still works but often if you do it on your natural mineral patch it will not work. Go across the map and use a mineral patch far away and look via minimap when you need to attack / restack.

yeah i tested the drone stack not long ago, because i knew they took it out at one stage and then some people were telling me that they put it back in.

and yes it works but not quite to the extent it did before.
