9.00PM AEDT :ZeroCraft
VS
VB Sober Soldiers
ZeroCraft will be fighting hard for the win to bounce back after their massive defeat at the hands of current table toppers, QED Mixed Lollies. VB may be able to use this low state of moral to their advantage as they try to keep building up their points tally to make the last ditch run to playoffs - even with a hard bunch of matches coming VB will be out for as much as they can!
9.00PM AEDT :QED Mixed Lollies
VS
ToR ToRmentors
QED Mixed Lollies look unstoppable at the moment - with a massive win against ZeroCraft, one of the league favourites, last week QED must be feeling invincible! ToR will know that they have their work cut out for them - but with good practice I can see them well up to the challenge of taking down the QED Power house team.
9.00PM AEDT :QED Krrn and Co Pty Ltd
VS
Perth Penguins
QED Krrn vs the Perth Penguins should be a very close match - coming down the the practice and match ups for the week. Both teams need the win to stick with the top teams to make playoffs (if we run them). Interesting note, both teams tried to be tricky and play their diamond players 4th - sniped each other..

9.00PM AEDT :Team HoH
VS
FaDe
HoH with some recent promotions and new member Venom look like they might be able to take away some points from an inconsistent FaDe team - However FaDe will be working hard to prove they are legitimate contenders for playoffs and will need to squeeze out all the points they can to reach any final series.
9.00PM AEDT :Fusion Slugs
VS
TA Edarus and Friends
Fusion Slugs will be aware of the capabilities of TA's power house team, a team yet to lose a match, will HoH be able to end TA's winning streak or even get away with a draw?! With plenty of practice and determination I think HoH have a great chance with some of the match ups to steal a point and cause a major upset.
Sadly I wont be playing this week, I will be away visiting family and friends.
I wont be leaving till Thursday morning, so I will be submitting the Fusion Slugs lineup and handling anything before then.
On the night itself though Dele will be in charge of the Slugs, although hopefully he shouldn't have to do anything. Just wanted to give a heads up to Chad and the TA gang
Zerocft [0] def by QED Mixed Lollies [5] with 1 to play
This week saw a monster appear in the form of the QED Mixed Lollies team. The Zerocraft team had prepared and fielded what it felt was pretty much the A team, because we knew what a victory over Mixed Lollies would mean. It was supposed to be 2 heavyweights slugging it out to see which could last the distance. The result was a first round knockout by Mixed Lollies.
It wasn't just that the Mixed Lollies team is 5-0 up, but in game score they are 10-0 up! None of the Zerocraft boys have been able to take a single game yet (glgl EvilSWAT tonight). A result similar to this could be tempered possibly by saying "well X got a favourable matchup etc etc", but in this instance, 4 out of 5 were mirror matchups. The QED team is able to say that pound for pound, they are better than Zerocraft. And congratulations to them, against a middle of the road team it would be a great retult to go 10-0 in game score - but against one of the front runners? a fantastic result showing their class
So much for my prediction of a draw. I knew that the ace game and the one after that would be essential (as getting to 3 points means you draw at worst), at 0-3 down, I was regretting my words.
VB_Sober Soldiers [1] def by QED Krrn & Co [5]
I hate to say it, but this must be feeling a long season for the VB crew. At 1 win, 1 draw and 3 losses, they have gotta be asking where their next points are coming from. as a positive, they have had the draw - but then again for these guys, it may just feel like the long bumpy road to finish out the season.
In my prediction for this match i reckoned it would be Krrn & Co due to their depth, and it showed in the gamescore. With Krrn and Cottonmouth (now QED_Horse i believe) both beating their silver opponent, and Jenkins getting through the ace responsibilities all in tight games, the value of depth cannot be understated. Add in Schnitzel that has been promoted to diamond - grats! - and this QED team suddenly remains in that in between range - too high to be considered in the middle of the pack, but too low to be one of the frontrunners. a good showing though
As a positive for tyhe VB team comes one of their lead out players- VB_Dead, who is currently 3-0 this season with wins in weeks 3, 5 and 6. He has also been promoted this season from silver to gold. So congrats Dead, good to see you bringing home points for the team. possible ace for next season (hell, maybe even this season)
Tor [5] def HoH [1]
No real surprises here, a full gold plat team beat a bronze silver gold team. HoHDouglas wasnt quite able to deliver in the ace spot, but it is still fantastic that they are sharing this responsibility around. Including threats to ToR players that they would "cook and eat them like a chilli" (Deano - is it getting a little hot down in bronze league??), this HoH team is at least taking their losses with a grain of... chilli powder. Think positive boys, at least you got more wins this week than Zerocraft.
The slow starting ToR Juggernaught continues, with this win taking them to a 2-1-3 record and 7 points. Given their start, it would be a good result if they can finish with more wins for the season than draws & losses.
JoFritzMD & Venom would have been a good matchup - but given that i have been talking Venom up for a few weeks it was a good chance for him to lose. JoFritz seems to be the real deal though, with solid form and points in the last few weeks. But now that i have said that, JoFritz is sure to lose next week.
Real quick mention for Rhythmatic (silver) taking down Maverick (gold). there have only been a few of these upsets between silver and gold, and they are worth mentioning when they occur
Penguins [4] vs slugs [2]
It seems every week i get 1 right - this was the correct one this week. My prediction was:-
"Prediction: Penguins. If the slugs could get 2 points and lose 4-2 i think it would show improvement from them as a team. Especially if the silvers in the slugs can sneak in those 2 wins, will give them confidence for the rest of the season"
And wouldn't you know it, but two of the silvers in slugs were able to eek out wins to make this a close contest. I saw the final game of the BenAD (plat) and MrCrow (diamond) game, and the 2-1 gamescore really reflects how this series went down. If Ben had been able to sneak in this win, they would have caused the most unlikely upset this season against one of the frontrunners - which would have been monumental.
Also, great to see the Penguins giving their silvers the first two spots. gj guys. you are winning and becoming a scary team as the season passes, just have to keep the run going.
Fade [4] def TCP [1] results of final game unknown
Fade may have found a way to sneak in some more wins this season - pick terrans. I always thought predicting the winner of this one was going to be hard, but at the end of the day Fade was just too strong. Props to FadeWelshy (gold) for taking down CCBBQCHIPSEY (plat - and capslock). if the games had gone according to the divisions the results of the final game may still matter. I have never heard of salsaVision of Fade, but he took down Frogmite, which in itelf is a good effort. The French were defeated by the.... I just realised i dont know where salsa is from.
And Navic of TCP must be the no 1 achiever for that team. i feel like every time i write he seems to have had a win in the preceding week. There seems to be a light at the end of the tunnel for TCP, being that it is offseason soon and recruiting for the next season can open.
Anyway, that is a (not-so) quick results summary for this week, thanks for reading. i might do some predictions later this week before the games if i get time
Bonus Feature - TA Considerations
As TA had the bye i thought i shoudl mention them briefly. QED mixed lollies have beaten the number 3 and 4 teams of Perth Penguins and Zerocraft respectively already this season. Although QED does have to deal with a few of the middle pack of teams, their run into the end of the season seems to be a little easier than TA's, who will have to face the Penguins and Zerocraft teams in the last two weeks of the season.
Could it possibly be that TA may have to beat both those teams in the final two weeks to get a draw with the Mixed Lollies? With the 1 diamond rule, and MrCrow standing up for Penguins, it is entirely possible that in the final round of the season a draw with the penguins could crown the lollies the minor premiership (the premiership based on points alone). Do you think the wins over 3rd and 4th place by Mixed Lollies puts more pressure on the TA team?
TA has the scariest line-up out there, but Mixed Lollies have the runs on the board with a draw with TA and comprehensive victories over 3rd and 4th place. TA have said they will win the comp this season, and I doubt that opinion has changed, but what do you guys out there think? Mixed Lollies, TA or the outsiders, the Penguins?

Reason: To change VB_horse to QED_Horse. only wrong team nothing srs.
I feel as if the write up was lacking some positive points towards Zerocraft. My games were in no way easy games. They were not failed cheese games like a lot of the games I have played this season but infact long macro games that I never once felt confident in winning (infact I was shaking uncontrollably afterwards :P).
Zerocraft are definitely a team to be afraid of In the future and a team to look out for. We have the headstart on already participating in 2 BSGCL seasons and now SEAL (along with z33k bsg's, gpd's etc etc). I feel once Zerocraft shake these nerves and are used to the tournament environment, along with a good, stable roster, they will be a force to be reckoned with.
We had all better be training harder... Because Zerocraft will be coming for us... are you ready?... Because nerd heads WILL roll...

ZeroCraft is mostly made up of BSGCL Season 2 players... the team that won... So I think they are used to the nerves etc...
Just lacking the solid leadership they had in BSGCL #2
Should be some great matchups this week, and the underdogs all have chances depending on the lineups each team put up.
Both QED games should be interesting and are probably quite important in terms of who makes the top 3 or 4 at the end of the season.
QED Krn play the Perth Penguins. The penguins will definitely step it up this week after being pushed a bit close last week by my slugs. Its a tough matchup for both teams.
The Mixed Lollies play TOR, where a win for the Mixed Lollies will really cement their top 3 standing. But TOR could very well pull it off and that would really bunch up the top half of the table.
VB and the Slugs have really hard matches against teams in the top 3, but we've seen many examples of higher ranked teams and players being upset or pushed to the brink this season.
Finally HoH and FaDe face off, FaDe coming off their first win and will be looking to make it a second and need to if they want to get into the top half. But HoH shouldn't be discounted at all and we've seen how draws and FaDe seem to go hand in hand a bit this season
Salsa is of latino origins in the form of music and dance, whereas salsa sauce is of Mexican origin and is usually spicy.
In regards to salsaVISION; 'salsa' is a former clan name, you may have seen other players around like salsaRON. VISION has been with FaDe for a while and is a solid Terran player who I have no doubt will be diamond very soon.
Also, great to see the Penguins giving their silvers the first two spots. gj guys.
the team we send out eah week is basicaly decided by finding out who's available and pickin the 5 with least ames played so far. isn't that how all the teams are doin it? :S

I'm sure in an ideal world it would be. Some teams just have to scrape together whoever is available for the night though.
