Morning everybody.

Just a quick Public Service Announcement.

Empire Earth Gold is currently free till the 14th on Good Old Games. I'm at work currently, so I can't get the URL for you guys just yet, but as I noticed there are a few Empire Earth fans floating around, I thought this would be interesting news.

Also, for those that have played Empire Earth, hit the nostalgia button and let all of us noobs know what is so great (or terrible) about Empire Earth and why we should care that it's free today and tomorrow.

PS. For those of you who have not heard of Good Old Games

the URL is gog.com. They sell a great many classic games set up so that they will run on modern machines, with no DRM.

Massing carriers and surrounding an enemy island with a fleet of doom, building masses of airports and AA on next-door island and nuking the shit outta everything.

THATS what was fun about EE.

hahah i loved this game. Im going to download just for the campaign - and for multiplayer if anyone else is keen!

This game was so impressive in its time. Its a shame both of its sequals sucked massive, gigantic balls

I'm keen on some multiplayer. I've had the game for years now and that's about how long it takes to get though a full multiplayer game

I checked the Multiplayer, and it seems that i was unable to connect to the server?
Maybe they dont host servers for the game anymore..

If you are capped, you should still go on the site and at least claim the game under an account.
The site works like Steam - you can purchase a game but dont Have to download it after you do; and it will still remain under your account..waiting for you to download it

For anyone who doesn't have the time currently (me), grab it anyways. As for multiplayer, the servers are long dead, but you can still play Direct Connect, and if all else fails, Hamachi is quite useful.
