Scope with the help and sponsorship of AOC and Wisdom Bird Computers has so far successfully completed 2 LAN tournaments for the games Counter Strike 1.6 and DOTA (Counter strike 1.6 results and write up and be found here ‘http://www.gpforums.co.nz/thread/398542/?s=’)

With a combined prize pool of OVER 3500$ for both of scopes previous tournaments, Scope and AOC would like to show the competitive community what it offers for gamers in Auckland, with top level pc’s and a clean environment we’d like everyone to enjoy. You are free to visit Scope before the event and see the PC’s and venue for yourself.


GENERAL INFORMATION

SCOPE LAN SC2 TOURNY will be held BY the Scope staff with AOC for all who want to compete, Scope Gaming Internet Cafe is located in AUCKLAND CBD on Queen Street and will have drinks/snacks available for the duration of the tournament. Scope will be dedicating 40 NEW PC’s for the event in a private room away from other customers.
Anyone may spectate BUT WILL BE STRICTLY WATCHED AND REMOVED IF YOU ARE FOUND TO BE CAUSING TROUBLE. Please do your talking away from people in matches, outside of the internet cafe (do not disturb other customers in the cafe, no exceptions)

TIME AND DATES

When : Saturday the 4th and Sunday the 5th of December, 2010
Where : A-Level 1, 95 Queen St, Auckland CBD inside of Scope Gaming Internet Cafe (www.5funny.co.nz)

GAME INFO

• DAY ONE (4th of December – SATURDAY) is to be the ONE VERSE ONE format game day – ALL 1v1 COMPETITORS PLEASE arrive at 9;30am to start at 10am
• DAY TWO (5TH of December – SUNDAY) is to be the TWO VERSE TWO format game day – ALL 2V2 COMPETITORS PLEASE arrive at 9;30am to start at 10am

PRIZES

we’d like everyone to know that as starcraft is a new game and still evolving, we don’t have high expectations for attendance, so at the moment we’ll be (at the minimum) providing these prizes for our competitors, however we are planning on providing a larger prize pool (like our previous tournaments) if we can get more players! (15+ would be great, a minimum of 10 players required for the event) please check back here for any new prize updates!

• FIRST PLACE – 50$ cash and x1 scope membership card with 50$ credit
• SECOND PLACE – 25$ cash and x1 scope membership card with 25$ credit
• THIRD PLACE – 15$ cash and x1 scope membership card with 15$ credit
• FOURTH, FIFTH AND SIXTH – x1 scope membership card with 10$ credit
