On Tuesday the 16th August 2011 will be the first ever 2v2 Tuesday Cup for the ESL SEA! Teams of two players from the entire South-East Asia area will compete for a Gamescon ESL TV HD pass each.
The more people we get signing up, and the more teams we have competing in the competition, will ensure the future of this team event. Support the expansion of the ESL through the SEA region and gather your friends or Clanmates together to duke it out against others in a test of not only your individual skill, but also your teamwork!
The team system is a bit of a pain, but this way it allows for two people to compete under one ID. If you already have an account on the ESL then it isn't too much of a hassle.
Having two people able to compete under one ID allows for us to electronically work out the Tournament, just like in the Go4SC2 Cups on Thursdays and Sundays. Without it, we would have to do the cup completely manually.
I'll simplify it down for everyone here. This will work only if you already have an ESL account.
Then you will see the page "you have successfully registered your team."
Click on "Edit your team", then down the bottom, find and click "settings".
From that page you can find "Invite new member" where you input your friends email address and they can join in there.
If you wish to join a team that has already been made, click on the drop down box up the top that says "Teams". It will be next to your name.
Then you click on search, and type in the team's name. This will allow you to join a team, you will need a password that the creator of the team can get off of the profile page for his/her team.
Hi Infetrix. Sorry but we cannot allow for a delay of that much time in between rounds, due to the other players then having to wait for hours before they can play on.
There are plenty of cups though, so maybe you will be able to compete next time.
We spent a while deliberating which maps to choose. As this came around quickly, we didnt have time to go through any ESL maps, or make any new ones. The ones we chose were chosen for their variability. Some maps place the team members together on one platform, some on seperate platforms. Some maps are large (eg. Tempest), and some maps are smaller. All in all, we think there is wide variability, allowing for some exciting and interesting play.
The Boneyard – 8P
Tempest – 8P
Deadlock Ridge – 8P
Tyrador Keep – 6P
Ulaan Deeps – 6P
The Ruins of Tarsonis – 4P
Scorched Haven – 4P
Khaydarin Depths – 4P
Discord IV – 4P
Congratulations to pRoCobo and pRoTimber, who won the first ever ESL SEA 2v2 Tuesday! They beat FlashRevz and FlashMuse in the final after some exciting and surprising gameplay in all the rounds.
