Another Thursday is here, and so it is time again for a recap of the more significant activities that has happened in the world of starcraft for the past week! For people who have had no time to follow the SEA or international scene, be prepared for a roller coaster as you check the summary. Well, there are some surprises in store for you!
1. Idra Interview by MLG
MLG brings us an interview with Greg Fields, the American Zerg player who placed 4th at MLG Columbus, the best of all the foreigners. Certainly with all the interviews that involve him, we do expect some form of balance discussion (who can forget him saying that zerg is not supposed to beat protoss?) and also some strong statements. However, the way he answered the questions in this interview has left many surprised! With some saying he has been going for PR lessons, or he has just changed due to his girl.. Either way, check out the interview at http://www.majorleaguegaming.com/news/balance-bear-hugs-and-bad-beats-with-idra, and make your own judgement!
2. State of the Game (SOTG) is back!
Remember the show that InControl, Tyler, Day9 and JP were pillars of? Remember your sadness that you felt when JP announced that they were taking a break?! Fret not, because it is back! With an equally stellar cast of course! No doubt InControl isn't part of it anymore, but his replacement is.. *Drumrolls* Artosis! Half of the casting Archon in Korea, and who always get nerd chills 3.Make sure to tune in if you have the time, and if you missed the live showing, you can obtain the VODs at http://sotg-sc2.blogspot.com/.
3. ChoyafOu to MLG Anaheim!
The coach of fOu Team, Choya, is going to be flown by FXO to MLG Anaheim! This is the announcement on TL by FxoBoss:
"Whilst in Korea, I have made alot of friends, alot of foes, and alot of neutrals. ChoyafOu has been one of those people who have really made an impression on me personally, and I felt it my duty to pay him back and hopefully give him a good impression of not only myself, but foreign e-sports in general. So, in return for his hospitality with me personally, I have decided to fly him to MLG Anaheim, to play with the FXO team and the foreigners and koreans that are participating in MLG Anaheim.
This is not part of the MLG GSL exchange, but an opportunity for a top class player, as well as a top class person, to compete overseas and get a taste for what its like abroad.
Choya will be wearing an FXO shirt with ChoyafOu written on the back during the event. Please do not assume that Choya has joined FXO, as this is untrue. It is merely a gesture to show his appreciation for me sending him to MLG.
I look forward to Anaheim, and I look forward to seeing Choya all kill MLG "
GL HF all!
Regards
FXOBoSs
Big Props to Boss for such a nice gesture!
4. ESL Go4Sc2 SEA June Finals
The finals have just finished, and casted as usual by Kelly! Featuring the top eight players in terms of monthly points, more than half the field was from Australia, and it is no surprise that the winner hails from Down Under! And no it is not Glade! Congrats to Rossi, who took down RedArchon, Iaguz before winning Targa in the final! The brackets can be obtained at http://www.esl-asia.net/sea/sc2/go4sc2/monthly_finals_june2011/rankings/?killcache=true. To obtain the replays of each individual match, click on the VS between their names!
5. Masters Cup 5
This event is organised by Eddie and was held last Sunday between the Masters and GM players of SEA. It certainly served up some exciting games, and after some hours we had a ZvZ finals! Between Glade, our sole SEA player who has been to the GSL, and gts, who has the same stature as SlayersDragon..(meaning also a Korean) Glade has been dominating the regional tournaments in the recent weeks, but now with Koreans coming to compete, things get a little more complicated!
After some intense ling bling roach wars, gts emerged the victor in the bo5 winning 3-2! Congrats and he also secures a cash prize of $75. You can check out the replays @ http://www.sc2sea.com/downloads.php?do=file&id=356!

Or will 2 time GSL Champion MC come back from his loss to Bomber and storm the knockout stages? In the GSTL, oGs is squaring off with young MVP, will DongRaeGu slay all the Terrans in oGs? FXO going up against HoSeo, good luck FXO! And the last match will see IM going up against Zenex. Will Hack do an all kill? Especially with the three giants in IM, Mvp Losira and Nestea. Many exciting matches await, be sure to tune in!
