They fixed the ladders so those who deserve it can be GM now (goodluck to those guys!), but I've noticed another ladder bug! Thankfully this one is harmless. After a game, no matter if I win or lose I'm apparently Diamond rank 98. Now yes, I am in diamond....but I sure as hell aren't 98, I'm 56.
I've also noticed ALL of my opponents are gold....when just before they were all plat/low diamond. What the hell happened? I sure hope I don't get demoted because I've been losing all night to 3rax (can't hold it with a 1gate FE, I think I need to go back to 2gate robo...and start forcefielding BEHING the army and stop cutting my bloody zealots off).
Ill tell you what it DIDNT do....
fix INPUT LIMIT REACHED ..........
Definitely needs a fix, the damn sound is super annoying. I'm also getting rank 89 showing every time I finish a game, even though I'm 3 or 4.
Also did it actually fix the promotion system? Has anyone been promoted yet? I'm versing master leaguers every game and winning about 60-70% but still no promotion... maybe it's still broken?
i heard ladders still locked ~.~;
and yeah blizzard never gets a patch right
Have you noticed every patch creates a new problem either big one for a minority or minor one for everyone

Yep, that's programming for you... On the upside, you can just play the game and not worry about the damn ladder rank because it's probably wrong ^_^
Why?
Because people should have been promoted to plat but it's been locked for a while?
I'm still sticking to my method of smurf checking. So if there is lots of people who were suppose to be promoted but have not, and has a skill level higher than BSG players, they would still be DQed. So this is not a time to take advantage of the issue at hand.

Er, if you can DQ people who are legitimately still in gold, but are 'too good' to be gold, where do you draw the line altogether? What about people who practice custom and don't ladder as much, or people who've had unlucky streaks? What about players practicing hard for BSG that aren't promoted but have improved over what you consider the 'gold line'?
I thought this tourney was meant for players who are still in X division, but still a test of 'who's best in that area', not 'who's best but not too good in that area'.

I wouldn't like to DQ people as well, but its a fact that there will be people smurfing in BSG to get the prize or just to bully the weaker players. Therefore we have to come up with a way to stop smurfers. If they were legitimately in gold, then they wouldn't be playing as a high plat or diamond player would they? If they practice custom games, then when they are good enough, its time for them to be promoted, no? We decide who gets DQed by watching the replays and having multiple people agreeing that the player is far beyond BSG level, and that he is a smurf. Thats where we draw the line.
