This Masters Cup is a single elimination style tournament for Starcraft 2, Legacy of the Void. $75 USD prize on offer to the winner, $50 2nd prize, and $25 3rd prize. $150 prize pool! ($210 AUD) There is also a 600 Oseanic StarCraft 2 Championship points up for grabs! *Plus one lucky participant will win a bonus $10! This event is sponsored by Eddie, and sc2sea.com

The Masters Cup is a biweekly tournament, the first fortnightly cup will be region locked to WCS North American citizens. The second fortnightly cup will be open to everyone (EU + KR). Repeat.

One lucky participant shall receive $10 AUD! While not a massive prize, its a free pizza, or a couple beers, etc, just for playing some sc2! Even if you are eliminated early be sure to stick around, watch the high quality games, and listen out for who will win (It may well be you!). Purpose of this is to encourage player participation, and offer a small reward for those who fail to place, as every game is of a high level. Depending upon future donations/sponsorship this may continue or be replaced by some other sort of prize, eg hardware. It shall be trialed this Masters Cup, as always, feedback welcomed. The prize draw shall be done live on stream using http://www.random.org/. If the number generated, matches your randomly seeded number on challonge.com, you're the winner! (Except if you no showed and got walked over in the early rounds, then we'll redraw, as it is designed to reward participants)

Plus SEA players gain 5 bonus SEA Participation points, which counts towards $700 and lan sponsorship.

Bonus OSC points can be earned if:

Anyone ranked below 16th beats someone in Top 16: 5 OSC points
Anyone ranked below 16th beats someone in Top 17-32 ranked equal or higher then themselves: 2.5 OSC points
Anyone ranked 16th - 9th beats anyone ranked equal or higher then themselves: 2.5 OSC points
1st - 8th have no chance to earn bonus points

For Best of 3 Series, both players take turns to veto 2 maps from the map pool, so there is 3 left, then they each select the map they most want if they lose, and start with the remaining map.
For Best of 5 Series, both players take turns to veto 1 map from the map pool, so there is 5 left, then they each select the map they most want if they lose, repeat, and start with the remaining map.

· All results must be PMed to CaVaLieR in-game.
· Players who are 15 or more minutes late will be disqualified, if a replacement cannot be found their opponent will be given an automatic win.
· If any player disconnects occur the match is to be resumed via replay. If a player drops twice on the same game, (G1,G2,etc), it is their opponents right to take the map win, If both players don't agree to resume the map again.
· Any disputes will be handled by the Admins after reviewing all associated replays.
· Any inappropriate behaviour will result in a disqualification.
· Players must have their own account, playing on a friends is not allowed
. You are allowed to switch races
. Players are required to send replays if requested by admin to eddieedwardssc2@gmail.com for OSC use.
. Regarding preferred game server, if an issues arises, suggestion is: Player 1 select preferred game server for G1, P2 G2, G3 best match

Oseanic StarCraft 2 Championship Series



The Masters Cup is a partnered tournament of the Oseanic StarCraft 2 Championship Series (OSC). The OSC is the Oceanic, South East Asian, North American and Chinese regional championship, which follows a yearly season format, where players earn points for placing in all partnered tournaments.

The top 32 players ranked via the OSC Player Leader board at the end of the season are then invited to play in the 2 day minimum $5000+ Grand Finale to determine the yearly champion! OSC World Rankings were established in December 2012.

In 2014 OSC partnered tournaments gave away $29691 combined prizepool, ($ bounties, Terran Bonus initiative, Invitationals, and LAN events were not included in this!), we had 155 completed partnered tournaments (up from 77 last year, which equates to 100% growth), and saw 358 individual players with points earned (up from 138 in 2013 = 159% growth)

GuMiho was 2014's Champion, taking out the $3500 finals series.
PiG was 2013's Champion, taking out the $2100 finals series.

You can show your support towards OSC, and help us put on events for the community for just $8 USD per month! One less chocolate bar/One less beer at the pub/a couple less songs on iTunes, etc, and the money goes towards supporting the scene It's quite common place for players/casters to have a subscription option on twitch tv (which isn't an option for us), and we feel we have much more to give back in terms of entertainment, competition and rewards.
