Hey, I'm relatively new to these forums (long time reader, first time poster) and i haven't really noticed any events purely for building the community (and having a good time), as opposed to an 'official' tournament.

So basically the idea is to get a bunch of people from around Sydney, and all spend a day at a venue, practicing, watching each other play, and just meeting the people in the SC2 community in a much more informal way.

I imagine the best bet would be to hire a room at cityhunters (http://www.cityhunter.com.au/)
(and share the cost?)
This would be completely open to everyone to attend; as the main goal is just to have some fun and socialize with other SC enthusiasts ^.^

So yeah, nothing's worked out really at this stage, just putting this up to see if people in the community would like to attend

If you're attending the City Hunter tournament on Sunday, you could ask players there if they would be interested ^_^

We had a lan/tourney at Intime netcafe before in Sydney for 1v1/2v2, wish it would be running again, was very fun times

I'd be up for something like this, long as u don't mind a gold player attending haha I think it would be a lot of fun to meet up and play some sc2 with people in person.
