Metalcore was unable to find any luck as a late replacement player, going 0-4. Azure's luck was much grander, however. He fell in the initial match versus Armani but managed to go 4-0 from there, defeating both Metalcore and even more impressively, DemiLove, with a 2-0 score.

Expected results here, although Yours was able to take a game off the favoured EnDerr and EnDerr did the same to the Korean player eMotion. EnDerr remains a bit of an anomaly, although he is the most popular target for up and coming players seeking to make an upset happen, he still manages to compete at a very high level and defeat top caliber players.

PSiArc has come into the scene only at the start of the year and already proven himself to be a huge threat and contender to any tournament. Slaying some of the top Zergs and Protoss in the region, he's managed to gain everyone's respect in relatively little time. He remains the sole constant presence of the Japanese scene here in SEA for the moment, as some of his highly skilled countrymen like Vaisravana and recent KR GM promotion, Albion make only sparse appearances in weekly tournaments.

In my WCS Oceania preview article, during my highlight on Law, I stated that although many people stated he had tremendous potential, he had mostly failed to live up to it in tournaments, however, in 2015, Law has been performing better than ever and it seems like he is perhaps showing the results that all his teammates and friends knew he could. He still has a big weakness to PSiArc, but Law's skill cannot be understated. In particular, his ZvZ is tremendous, as he has great victories this year in the match-up, including a 2-0 over ROOTCatZ and even taking a game off Korean Zerg Mamuri this week. With no LAN events in sight as of yet, we'll have to see if Law can continue to carry his momentum forward to a great LAN performance as well. You should definitely keep an eye on Law for the next few weeks. Perhaps even for the rest of the year!


Interview with RONSO is still in the pipeline, don't worry. If any of you guys have any suggestions as to how I could improve this weekly series (within reason of course) please feel free to leave me some suggestions. I know some of you may be disappointed that there hasn't been any huge works like my WCS articles, but trust me, when the time comes and an important tournament rolls around, I'll be on the job. This week I also added something to the upset columns you might have noticed. I added the tournament that the upset took place in. I've also unspoilered the upset columns because I feel it's one of the most important parts of the article every week and it doesn't add clutter to have it unspoilered.

It's not Lapack but Albion who made it into KR GM!! (the guy participated in Melee#1)
Lapack is that guy who participated in WCS Qualifier and posted a blog about it on sc2sea.com ^^

I had the pleasure of meeting PSiArc at ESWC and have known of his gosu skills for quite some time. Definately a top contender and its great that the Japanese SC2 scene is getting more involved in SC2SEA!!
