The Round of 16, for WCS America takes place this weekend(technically Sunday and Monday for us!)





And so after much controversy and many tears, ESL the team behind WCS Europe take on the contract of WCS America also. However there new studio in Los Angles isnt quite set up so WCS America will be played LIVE in Germany. (A side note anyone else find it humorous that a tournament designed for the America region is filled with Koreans and taking place in Europe?).

The hope for the Americas actually having a player in the top 8 of their own tournament (Scarlett, back in Season 2 2013 is the only American in the history of WCS to make the top 8), lies in the hands of seasoned veteran HuK (Although we all hope newcomers pucK and Neeb do well!).

Meanwhile China has 3 players in the top 16: two former WCIII champions to cheer for that go by the names Macsed and XiGua and former Brood War pro TooDming.

Finally the Koreans, they take a whooping 10 places (in fact they made up 32/48 of the top 16 across the 3 WCS Competitions). Theyre all extremely talented but two names stand out for me HyuN and Bomber.
