It is a bit dull being the only one in my social circle who plays sc2, and even worse that some only play LOL ><
I'm 30ish, married and have a 2 and 3 year old pair of boys. Well they're less of a pair and more mortal enemies who constantly try to kill each other, but I digress.
If any of you are older gamers you might appreciate that its rare to randomly make new friends, and even rarer that they play sc2. So I'm just putting out a feeler to see if there's anyone else in my neighbourhood in the same boat.
A bit more about me, if it helps... I'm laid back and enjoy a beer or two. I even home brew it. I watch a fair bit of twitch, if I'm not watching a TV series or movie with my wife. Were both young at heart and have dark sarcastic senses of humour and are difficult to offend.
I guess I'll leave it at this as it's already sounding like a tragic dating site. It's just not the same hanging out with non sc2 gamers as it's boring to them to talk about it and rude to make them watch me play haha
I'm not that serious about getting better, but having more fun yes.

I totally feel you man!! T.T I bet I'm the only one in my school who's even past platinum... Some have tried sc2, then give up since it's too hard and requires too much work.. Some only reach like gold league, rest stay in silver and bronze then give up lel
Hey Zig. I'm in the same boat. From Melbourne with two young spawnlings (3 and 5). PM me and I'll shoot you through my skype details. And yep am the only guy in my circle of friends (outside my clan of course) that plays sc2. Nothing wrong with me. It's everyone else that's nuts.

I am prolly one of the oldest here with an 8 month old and full time work as well as running Silicon Sports. I am also in the same boat where my mates have no interest what so ever in eSports at all - we all enjoy our regular sport though.
There is a very active Melbourne crowd, we even have our own BarCrafts in the CBD which you should come to (next one is March 30th).
holy crap so many in Melbourne. We should have regular LAN meetups (at least monthly) !!
I motion this... anyone second it?

Another Melbournite here. #camefortheworkstayedforthefood
I think I have you on my SEA friends list from back when I was playing my placement matches, Zig, but I've shifted to the NA server since joining the Ninth Legion. You can get me on skype via username vonpenzance
Melbourne for the win! I'd be happy to organise a LAN get-together if only I had a place big enough to facilitate. I live no where near La Trobe valley, but I sympathise with finding people to play games with as an "older gamer". Balancing work, life and family is hard enough as it is. Be sure to hit me up on skype (coffeejoe2) if ever you want some teams.
