Plantronics ACL Sydney limited Open Bracket Information!

Recently ACL announced that Plantronics ACL Sydney will host a 12 team Open Bracket for Call of Duty and a 32 player Open Bracket for Starcraft 2, this announcement can be found here. Information is now listed below in regards to how you can secure your spot at Plantronics ACL Sydney if you are aiming to compete in the Open Bracket.

Key Points:

- The only way to secure your spot is to purchase an Online Player ticket. No Open Bracket spots will be held for any players under any circumstances without payment.
- Entry to the Open Bracket will be released in two stages. 'Open Invites' and 'Public Registration'.
- 'Open Invites' will grant players access to pay for the Open Bracket 2 days before 'Public Registration'. If you do not pay within this period then you risk competing with everyone else for an Open Bracket spot when 'Public Registration' begins.
- Players with 'Open Invites' will be contacted over the next day to be alerted they have received an Open Invite. Payment will then open for these Players on Monday the 16th at 7.30pm AEST.
- Payment for 'Public Registration' opens on Wednesday the 18th at 7.30pm AEST. At this time the first players to buy their player pass will be the players attending the event. First in, best dressed.

Starcraft 2:

Starcraft 2 at ACL Sydney will invite the best 16 players based on ACL Season Points straight to the Group Stage. From these 16 players, 8 will be invited based on ACL Season points and 8 will be invited from ACL Season 3 Points (Online 5 & 6).

ACL has announced that it will open its doors to an additional 32 players (48 players in total for the event) in a limited open bracket that will be hosted and completed on Saturday of ACL Sydney. The process for determining which players will gain these 32 spots is outlined below:

Open Invite:

12 players will gain an 'Open Invite' to Plantronics ACL Sydney as a reward for their constant attendance and high placings in ACL Online and LAN events. These Open Invites will be given to the 12 players with the highest yearly points outside those players within the top 16. Open Invites will be handed out on Monday September the 16th and players that receive an Open Invite only have 2 days to confirm their attendance before the Open Bracket opens to all of the public. Players must confirm their attendance by purchasing a Online Pass for Plantronics ACL Sydney, no spots will be held without payment and all payment must be completed online.

Public Registration:

On Wednesday the 18th of September at 7.30pm AEST payment will open for Plantronics ACL Sydney for the Open Bracket. The only way to secure yourself a spot in the Open Bracket at Plantronics ACL Sydney is to purchase a Online Pass for the event. No spots will be held without a Online Pass and come Wednesday the 18th the remaining Open Bracket passes will be available to the first players that purchase them, wait too long and you will miss out.

Further Information:

Players will be contacted over the next day to be awarded their Open Invites. As stated, these players will have only 2 days (until Wednesday the 18th at 7.30pm), until their Open Invite period ends and Public Registration begins. When Public Registration begins it becomes first in, best dressed.
