This week's BSG Open will act as a qualifier for a one-off special event.
Thanks to Tt eSPORTS, Mayo and Baldie, next week we will be running the
Tt eSPORTS BSG Cup
This will be run in place of the regular BSG Open next Saturday, 29th June. It is a 16 player, bo3 single elimination tournament. Players may qualify by placing in the top four for this BSG Open... and the other spots will go to the top four from BSGs #92, 93 and 94! This means that the following players have already earned their spots:
This also leaves one wildcard place to be filled. Qualified players, please confirm that you are available to play.
Prizes
The three prizes donated by Mayo and Tt eSPORTS are a Saphira mouse, a Dracco Captain headset, and a White Ra mousepad. The winner will have first choice, 2nd place second choice, and 3rd place the last remaining prize.
Players outside Australia and New Zealand, please note that you are eligible to enter but must pay postage for your prizes.
More details will be posted next week. Good luck everyone!
The winner of the BSG each week is awarded with one hour of professional coaching from a coach in this thread (link) and... "Unearthed Talent" Achievement
Awarded to every sc2sea BSG winner!
Please read the rules if this is your first time entering
Tournament Eligibility:
You must be legitimately in the Bronze, Silver or Gold league (1v1 - SEA license) and you must be active on ladder.
Everyone will be checked for typical smurf activity designed to keep them in a lower league.
Anyone found to be smurfing will be added to the BSG Hall of Shame so everyone can be aware of their shameful acts.
Battle.net group: "sc2seaBSG"
Rules
You must contact your opponent on Battle.net preferably by being in chat channel "sc2seaBSG" to play your match
You have ~15 minutes to start your Round 1 match; anybody that is not contactable after 10 minutes will be disqualified. This 10 minute timeout rule applies throughout the tournament.
You must play your main 1v1 ladder race throughout tournament.
Observers: Tournament admins or official streamers are always allowed and the only ones to observe your game
Problems/Questions: When in doubt about anything, contact an admin
Reporting Results: After the match has been played, you must report the result by pm to an admin
Disconnects: If a player disconnects, use the 'Resume from Replay' feature to continue the game. If the player has gone offline completely, inform an admin and wait 10 minutes for them to return.
Pauses: You must notify your opponent in game if you wish to pause. This pause should not exceed 5 minutes. Excessive pausing in game may lead to disqualification.
Bad Manner will not be tolerated. Anyone caught BMing will be warned. Further offenses will lead to disqualification. Any racist, hateful or excessively derogatory language may lead to removal without warning. We are a friendly group and we'd like to see it stay that way.
Replays: Should be saved at least until the following tournament. Anyone asked by admins to provide a replay who cannot do so will be disqualified.
Anyone suspected of smurfing (playing another person's account, manipulating ladder to be in a lower league) will be thoroughly investigated and if found guilty, prizes will be stripped and they will be reported to Blizzard and added to the Hall of Shame.

As of right now...it i can't give a definite answer.
My wife's grandmother passed away and the funeral is on Friday in Quebec (roughly a 5hr drive). I am not sure if it would be in bad manner if i brought my computer with me for it or if i would be able to drive home late into the evening arriving home around 4-5am for a 6am wake up time.
...Bah this sucks i got super excited about this, but family calls as well... I am still a maybe trying to figure out what plans are.

Sorry for your and your wife's loss.
I could understand if it wasn't possible because it already seems rather well organised, but I wonder if it's at all possible to push this tourney back by a week, it seems like it would be easier for a couple of people with exams, work and a funeral to attend... Seems like it would definitely help you a lot, and would make it easier for me to play.
The following weeks are going to be busy in general.
Sat July 6th is my sons first birthday party! (July 2nd is actual day).
@Nem: Of course BSG is run weekly... but how many times does something like this pop up?
@ArmourClad: thanks man!
July 6th would be a lot easier for me to negotiate with the wife lol
Edit: But there is no way i am asking for an event to be changed on my behalf that would be silly.... not sure how many opportunities come along like this... i just felt really good knowing i qualified for something :x

It's okay. Unexpected events can happen and also everyone else has exams on top of things at the moment (well, probs not everyone but a lot of people).
If the date can be changed that would actually be rather good, but it's really up to the admins.

Asrathiel/anyone else, thoughts?
I'd have to check with Mayo as sponsor, I believe he/Tt wanted an event run this month. I can check that though, if July 6 is easier for a significant number of people.
But on a serious note what has got the event started is really unbelievable and shows the kind of community we have here. Mega props to mayo baldie and tt esports for even thinking of doing something like this on our Level. And I course As and shock for getting these events goin every weekend!
