Some of you might remember Gunbound, others might not. It's a super old (I last played it 6-7 years ago) Game and it's super awesome.
Basically the premise is that you play as various vehicles (mobiles I believe they're called) and it's kind of a game of physics and a bit of trial and error. Imagine worms, but kickass and cutesy. That's Gunbound. You have items(top right "bought" in the lobby), various shots (including a special shot - select the shots with tab, located bottom left) all the while being effected by the wind or various tornadoes/sunnythingies/lightning
You can find the latest version at gunbound.softnyx.net - but I don't recommend this it's not as amazing as the classic version.
The classic can be found at http://gunbound.ca and it's a lot better, approximately 10x better.
Screenshot of the gameplay ^^
The only negative I find in this game is that its resolution cannot be changed as far as I know and is stuck at a really annoying resolution, but you'll get over it.
Check it out, give it a download and play with some of us who have already downloaded it and gotten all nostalgic about how awesome life was when we were 12 (or when fractal was 7)
I would get right on this - but I have plans to play Starcraft at least once in the next 5 years and I don't think both options can be achieved. Definitely some of the most fun I've ever had in my gaming life though

Starcraft < Gunbound true story.

I remember playing it a little earlier this year because I remembered it was super fun. And then I realised what ruined it - all of the avatars that let people one shot you
@Delete, yeah they TOTALLY ruined that.. so glad someone actually got the old client running and put it on a private server (or something along those lines) though. That's where we play on.

I remember you couldn't get very far without dumping some money into it, or a LOT of time to advance or get anywhere.. but I played years ago, haven't seen or thought about that game since

I never dumped money into it, then again all I did was play Aduka games in the Free Server (Avatar off). Whenever I played other bots I was with friends.
But yeah now it's such a cash cow, so bad (the softnyx one anyway). :/

I never paid, because I was 12 and my income was about a dollar per month. I played a fair bit though and my pride and joy was my permanent Australian flag.

The game is so Cash heavily, you need to have cash to survive and win games. It requires, little to no skills to win games nowadays, just spam item2s and IMBA Avatars.
Which made a lot of players leave the game, including me. I was still playing Gunbound, before it went cash heavily (before item2s, before the Imba avatars). The games back than was so much fun and entertaining to play, you don't have to wait too long for a game to start (because there was so many people). There was so many people, even it was a fight to just get into the server (back than people try not to log out, just to keep a spot for them in the server).
But after the cash stuff rolls it, the population of players hugely dropped, even at times where it should be busy and full of players. Games too forever to start, easy 20min+ or longer wait for a game. As well, as a non-cash user will usually not stay and not play in rooms that one side is full of cash (simply no point playing, since they just die in 1 or 2 shots). Which also contributed to the waiting length for a game.
To deal with cash player, people tend to play on the thinnest map and use mobiles that can bunge (drop) them outside the map. Its the only way to kill cash player in one shot/or quickly for non-cash players. Which gives birth to a lot of bunge games.
"No Cash" or similar rooms (equivalent to SC2 Lobby), where cash people kick/boot player if they join a "No Cash" Rooms. Than the cash players uses a bug to hide their avatars in the room, and one of us has to leave room and go back to the same room to check it.
If they drop the cash focus (some cash is fine, need to make money, but not go all out for cash items), i would be back and still be playing Gunbound! It so simple and fun game to play!
My Mobile i use to use: NakMachine (fun bot to use and play)! My total GP was 138k+ (back than it was a silver knight rank/level)
