While the gap in player depth has arguably increased between Australia and our Southeast Asian rivals, some stiffer competition will be joining the tournament in the form of China and Taiwan. Add to these powerhouses the fact that minnows like the Philippines and New Zealand have strengthened their rosters and this should be the most competitive (read: only other) NationWar league yet.
Team sizes are from 8-12 players, with 4 roster changes allowed during the season. As Team Australia manager I have elected to go for a hybrid of invites and qualifiers to make up the team, and we will be using all 12 available player slots. The following players are considered the draft constituents of the team.
While I have a good idea of what the team will eventually look like I'd like some community input in the form of a poll as to who should recieve direct invites aside from mOOnGLaDe and Azz, who have proven themselves enough on the international stage. The remainder of the players outside of ~8 invitees will be put into groups to fill up the remaining 4 spots, and the rest will form the B-Team.
Additionally, any ideas on the format of the qualifiers would be appreciated. If you can think of something better than two round-robin groups of 4 (or one of 8) then please post below! Ideas about how to distribute the prizemoney are also welcome (e.g. how to reward dedicated, active players, should we reward people who perform better?, should managers be rewarded?, etc.).
Also feel free to post any cheerfuls or other support you wish to show before the official threads are up

Have a suggestion for another player to be considered for selection? Justify your suggestion below. Please note that this is a serious competition with a large prizepool and if you would not expect to be invited to a 1v1 tournament with a significant prizepool you may not be up for consideration for this event.
Note: Filthy has quit competitive SC2 and is not considered at the moment, though that may change.

As for who I voted for and the logic, tgun, YYJ, Edge and deth are sponsored players, which in my eyes says alot about a player, plus, we know those 4 are strong players. And for a 5th I said Light because hes such a clutch player, and has been consistently good for a few months. Rossi/iaguz/PiG would be good additions as well, but adding them to the numbers would be 10 players total (for a 8-12 team, that would pretty much round it out).
I'd actually go so far as to say that you shouldn't even hold Open invites for the A team Del, consider that a player could play poorly in a single Bo3 qualifiers. There's enough tournies around that you can kind of see where the skill level is at, and upsets in the qualifiers could leave you with a slightly weaker team.

Wow Australia is REALLY strong. I hope Singapore can put up a good showing again this time round!
Btw, is the poll meant to only include 10 players? I count 20 players in that list, minus Glade and Azz, so should be 18? Am I reading something wrong here
PiG has done nothing lately, sAint out of nowhere has been doing well in ESL and we are short on Protoss with heaps of Zergs already.
Yeah well despite MG putting a dampener on most of my tourney entries whenever I Get the chance to avoid him I've been failing vs Iaguz. Still, did get 2nd in CO last week :P. Definitely need to step up my game though. Would be sick to be on the team
I will withhold my votes for who to be invite. as i have not studied enough of aus pro players to be able to vote properly. But i am keen to follow the team and cheer them on .
