Chivalry: Medieval Warfare

Anyone else playing or interested in playing some first person medieval combat with Chivalry?

I think this game has a lot of potential and I'd be pretty keen to have some people to regularly duel with.

If you want to be really sold on this game I recommend this advanced combat tutorial from some higher level players. It really shows off the depth of the combat mechanics:

I saw husky, totalbiscuit and a bunch other guys playing this game. But I don't really get the idea of it, what makes it special? I mean, there are a lot more other games that looks and sounds like the same thing. What makes chivalry so much better?

It's just cheap fun really. All about timing the swing of your mace or sword. Nothing overly special, just quite a good game for the price it is.

TotalBiscuit does a bit on Chivalry vs War of the Roses.

There is some degree of depth to the game's mechanics that allow you to be a boss in 1v4s, duels and large scale battles. However its also a game that is great to casually play with mates and have fun.

I'll be competing on the Cybergamer ladder with a 5 man team, so we'll see how much of the complexity of team strategy will come into play.

I'm interested to know how it went for you. Cause as you said, I love to play it with mates, but otherwise that's all we are in it for really.
