I have been looking at changing my bronze level play. Im not all that good so i thought it wouldn't hurt to try around a bit with the other races and builds in the game.
So Basically, whats the best way in your opinion to learn a new race? Does the fact WoL campaign is a Terran one mean you should go through that utilizing hotkeys and basically practising it on a harder difficulty to get better at terran.
Or does the fact the campaign is Terran mean its more difficult to move into 1v1 and laddering difficult because the game dynamic is so much different in the WoL Campaign.
to be honest the best way to learn any race is to look to liquidpedia website and look at the diifferent races strategy. and pick one build for each match and use only those build until you reach plat/diamond.
in terms of hotkeys well for me anyway 1. main army 2.support unit 3 5 command centres 6 barracks
7 factory 8 starport.
practising against ai as well can be helpful but its only really used to learn and refine builds so a player can then perform that build on ladder.
if you are looking for some awesome people to help you get better while in starcraft you should join the channel mGG
a very friendly bunch who are always there to help others and im pretty sure they are on the look out for bronze and silver players atm

Awesome, thanks. I w have been thinking heavily about how to get macro up and would taking early 2nd and 3rd bases improve the macro enough that the army and the win should take care of itself in Bronze?
Well, at bronze level I dont think you really need to think too much about your race or even strategies. Just make sure that you have good macro and mechanics.

As Terran, macro is much more difficult and is probably the only race I would say you need to follow a build. Otherwise you will float HEAPS of money, and it takes a long time for production to become available as well
um tbh i think the best way to learn initally is to play vs computers and refine a build (i know a few people in teams who still do this) after that try it on ladder.
So in simplier terms make a plan each race like since you are now switching to terran i'd do this
TvP
1 gate expo - things to watch out for
4 gate
proxy 2 gate
stargate 3 gate
robo 4 gate
how do i scout these? would be the next question i would ask myself and when they happen to u anaylse the shit out of the replay, or maybe watch someone like iaguz or Hut when he streams and look at when they scout and what it could be for, ask them questions, they won't mind if it brings viewers
then look at some of thier replays generally they will have something like this as they attack for the first time
2 base aims - 5 rax 1 starport with reactor by (time) and stim (time)<--- note keep trying to get the times on both as low as possible.
This would be the best way to learn terran imo i was lucky and when i started orginally on terran i had cabracan whose a close friend and was a patch terran coach me macro macro macro. just remember sc2 is a thinking game and you can learn something out of every game win or lose til about gm sea then it gets harder to get something out of a win, losing games helps so much.
Good luck man i hope this helps you on your way. I'd keep an eye out for an of the fray videos done for terran too they should help and also of course Day9 dailys, there are tons adn they can all help
Bronze and silver league is defiantly more about who builds more units. Starting with a build that is safe, and able to apply pressure is always a good choice. maybe a 2 racs pressure expand type build (somthing like this http://www.gosubuilds.com/terran-bui...protoss/2-rax/) would be viable againced all races untill you hit gold.
which ever build you chose start out againced a very easy computer untill your hitting the timings right and not float a billion minerals then take it to ladder and crush players!
When you looses check to see if you lost because of your bank (1k minerals = 20 marines) or if you didn't make enough scv's. You will find that in bsg this will have more effect on win or losing then what strat you did.
Check this video out for setting up your keyboard and mouse settings, and sc2 game settings
Another commen mistake you may be make is clicking on the command card (bottom right box that has comands) you should never click in there again from when you read this post... ever.... You should now have the setting that displays the hotkey for each action/command turn on if you followed the video above, you are now to look at what key it is to press, find the key and press it for each action, or each unit you build. It may take longer now, but after a week you will be a lot faster!!
And as others have said use army hotkeys, 1 for army, 1 for CC's 1 for production(or each type of production ) how you set them up is personal preffence.

practice safe macro up to 200/200 is what i did, then watch replays and look for good timings you can attack in. actually i still do this, and im masters on kr...... :P
Learn all hotkeys!
Your hotkeys need to be fast because Terran is a race that needs consistent action and even wasting a second trying to find the right key can be detrimental to your learning of Terran.
